madera in moss coverlet
First to recommend
Description
I'm into green again... I'm over orange and already moved on from yellow. I just think green is a color that can be used any season - summer or winter. I particularly like moss or chartreuse... This coverlet is gorgeous with the topography-like stitching. I suppose it also looks like flowing water in a riverbed too. Really lovely. By Inhabit, who makes fabulous textiles for home. $280 queen. $310 king.
Pillows are separate, but they're a must. Great companions to this coverlet.

Description
Bold bright flowers will make your bed the center of attention, that's for sure. The red on white is vibrant and cheerful. Makes me think of a happy sunday morning for some reason.
It's not inexpensive... $575 for the queen duvet cover. There's a reason. It's from Bonjour of Switzerland, who pioneered micro modal, a textile made from 100% beech wood cellulose, which is eco-friendly. Similar to bamboo, micro modal has silk-like softness but is not slippery and more durable than cotton.

The green and chocolate combo is perfect with the grass pillows. This set uses minimal nature graphic but gets the theme across very well. $170 queen. $210 king.

Is this a day bed or what? I think if I had this in my backyard, I would never go back inside. Gorgeous structure for lounging outdoors... or day naps. Gandia Blasco... What an amazing company with some of the best outdoors product designs in the market.

Designed by Pascal Mourgue, this is a fabulous piece of furniture. Chaise? yes. Sofa? Sure. Bed? Can be. Day bed? yeap. Lounger? Definitely! I am tempted to buy it as a bed, but as much as I want to convince myself otherwise, I don't think it's a good fulltime bed option. Unfortunately, I can't keep any sofa dog-free in my house... That's the only thing stopping me from buying this for the livingroom.
For now, anyway...

atlantico oak bed

Description
Nice and clean lines. It's a true platform bed, alright. I'm having difficulty deciding between wood and upholstered beds... Both are nice. One is easier to keep clean - wood. I definitely like this for its simplicity. There isn't really a "trend" element. It looks a bit modern asian, which will go with rest of my house (when I get the remodel finished, that is.). $2000

wood-block platform bed

Description
Simple, low to ground platform and thick block headboard. It would be easy for me to match all my existing things with chocolate colored wood (though that is just sooo yesterday) (oh well). I must say I'm slightly weary of West Elm though... I've had 50% of my things returned due to quality. Hmmm. Need to take that into consideration.

domain king bed

This looks like the other bed I picked from Room and Board, but I think it's a singular headboard instead of double. Also has a lip edge around the mattress, which is nice. But I can see that being chewed on... That would be bad. I like this color as well.

At first glance I dismissed this bed from Crate & Barrel, but then the image with turquoise bedding caught my eye. It definitely looks less retro and more modern with the right accessories. I am a fan of Crate & Barrel, actually. Mid-price range and very decent quality.
