sleepy hollow bed

Description
Tell me I'm not crazy... I really like this bed. It's basically a wooden crate, and you plop a mattress on top. I like how functional it is - shelves below the bed for storage. No headboard, but I think I'm okay with it. Cheap too! $699. (Considering the other beds I've been looking at, which are mostly in the $2,000 price points.)

From Room and Board, this is one of the lower priced ones on my shopping list - at $1,400. It's simple, clean, warm, modern. I have shopped Room and Board often, and generally, I've been happy (my puppies have destroyed pretty much everything, so it's time for me to refurnish my home) (sigh...).

I'm distracted again... I am not a fan of canopy beds for the bedroom. Unless there are tons of mosquitos, I'm confused by another ceiling below my ceiling... However, an outdoor bed... That's another story. This one would be amazing outsize with mosquito netting. Great lounging environment for warm summer nights.

Haven't been a fan of black/charcoal furniture in a long time, but I'm liking it with this bed. The upholstered frame softens the gray. At the same time, the gray enhances the lines. The darker color is definitely better than the tan, I think... Okay, this now beats the aqua one I liked most. Oh, decisions, decisions...

Okay, this bed does not qualify for my shopping list, but I am sneaking it in anyway. It's gorgeous. It's a daybed that functions like a good piece of furniture. A magazine storage underneath the head area is a great idea, and adds a detail that makes the bed less boring. Love the fact it's also eco-friendly!

I might break away from my predictable biege or dark wood choices and go for something unexpected, like aqua. The dodu bed is fun. The aqua makes me think of a swimming pool, which is kinda pleasant. I like how low it is, and I like the singel mattress requirement. It is felt covered wood. Seems easy enough. I wonder about cleaning ease though. This right now is in my top 3 choices thus far.

Ligne Roset is one of my favorite furniture stores. Clean designs without making me feel alienated. I love this platform bed with the plank edges, like Japanese benches. These might not work with the giant schnauzers I have in the house though. I can see the claw marks now. Something similar to this would be nice.

I'm shopping for a new bed. Time to rid the 'ole sleigh bed and move to the "wish list" of beds. I have a few requirements - dog friendly (easy to clean and low for them to climb on without killing the sides) and comfortable. Most likely modern. This B&B Italia bed is nice, because if I stumble int he dark, the cushion sides will protect my shins. Something worth thinking about! I'm seroius.
