Description
I started watching the BBC version of The Office. It took me a while, but I finally really got into it. I was worried the American version of The Office might be as bad as the American version of Couplings, but it turned out to be even better than the BBC version. Be sure you're buying the version you are looking for.

Description
If you love Ricky Gervais and the Office, then you will love Extras. This show, might even be funnier than the Office, if that is possible. This brilliant show ran for 2 season on HBO (hear that American network people who do not have an original thought left in them, it was already on HBO so you can't nick it). Ricky plays a guy who works as well, an Extra. The relationship between him and his best friend, manager, and assorted other characters is just hilarious. Also the fact big name celebrities were willing to mock themselves really speaks to them. The 2nd season episode with Orlando Bloom I found especially hilarious. I can hardly wait to see what Ricky Gervais does next. He is the biggest comedy writing genius on the planet, IMO.

Life On Mars: Series 1 [2006]

This is one of my fav. tv shows ever. I caught Season 1 on BBC America and Season 2 is now airing over in the UK. In short the premise is detective Sam Tyler is involved in a car crash and awakens in 1973. You are actually never quite sure if he is actually in 1973 or if he is in a coma. This show is so well done. I'm usually good at guessing what is going to happen on shows, but this one keeps me guessing. The guy who plays Sam is also adorable and wears the most amazing junkie style 70's leather jacket (think of the cool type of jacket Joe Perry from Aerosmith used to wear in the 70's).

This movie has one of the most amazing soundtracks ever! The story of a man who comes to the city to become a musician and ends up an outlaw! It is a classic. The amazing Jimmy Cliff if still making records and movies to this day. This movie also had a profound influence on Keith Richards, in both its music and the culture of Jamaica (where Richards lived for some time).

This movie documents the Stone's '69 US tour and the tragedy that happened at Altmont. I'm a huge fan of old school Keef. This is worth it for the live performance and the little piece of history it documents.

I love the look and feel of this movie. There is not a lot of action, it is more about a tone and feeling. A woman goes missing while on a Mediterranean cruise. Her group of friends (including her boyfriend) attempt to find her. Back on dry land her best friend and boyfriend eventually begin an affair while still searching for her. I've seen this movie a few times and get more out of it each time I watch it.
On a side note, near the end of the movie there are some scenes at a large mansion. If you think current emo (oh, I'm so sad and emotional and fragile) boys in bands with their sideswiped black haircuts are original, check out the artist boy in the mansion scenes in this movie. Remember, this movie came out in 1960. I rest my case.

Do you think 24 was the first tv show/movie to occur in realtime? Think again. Cleo from 5 to 7 has about 40 years on 24. This is a movie that takes place in realtime as Cleo, a singer, waits for the results of a test to come in (to see if she has cancer or not). It sounds depressing, but it is really great. I highly recommend it.

Description
I put this on whenever I need creative inspiration. This is one of my fav. movies of all times. I'm a huge Fellini fan and this one is my fav. More than anything I love the imagery and tone of this movie. Whenever I watch it I always feel inspired. I also love Anouk Aimee's style in this movie. She is definitely one of my style icons. Watching her in this movie she looks so stylish and current. Watch this movie and be inspired!
