Description
This is just a fantastic movie. The main character, has the best name ever, Lemmy Caution. It is a science fiction movie that is supposed to take place on another planet. However, the other planet looks like Paris in the late 50's/early 60' and the hero's spaceship looks like an old car. For a moment, suspend your disbelieve, and trust me this movie works on so many levels. it is haunting and amazing! If you haven't seen this movie, put it at the top of your Netflix que right away! You can thank me later!

Star Trek Deep Space Nine - Seasons 1-7

Description
When I first meet people I always like to ask them the nerd question, who is your favorite Star Trek captain. You can really find out a lot about people from that, believe it or not. Well, in case were wondering, mine is clearly Sisko. Deep Space Nine was my absolute fav. of the Star Trek series! There are so many great things about it. The entire story arc (to me, it is like the Hero's Journey (Sisko being the Hero), the great characters, Klingons, and most importantly, Captain Benjamin Sisko (played by the everyamazing Avery Brooks). I especially love Sisko's relationship with his son, Jake. I think the absolute best father/son relationship every portrayed on TV. So warm and loving. I also love the friendship that develops between O'Brien and Dr. Bashier. You never see guy friendships like that! on tv. And can we discuss Quark for a momen?. I hated him at first, but really grew to love him. He's so wrong, yet so right. It also has one of my fav. series endings ever (through the course of the show you see how Sisko doubts the prophets (i.e. worm hole aliens as he first calls them) and in the end becomes elevated to become one of them). If you never watched Deep Space Nine I can't recommend it enough! Show the Sisko some love!

I love birds. I think they are beautiful, smart and just amazing. However you do not need to be a bird lover to enjoy this amazing documentary by Sir David Attenborough. I find most fascinating the crows using tools to get food (although I admit I love crows so I might be a bit partial).

Simply an amazing move. It still looks fresh and modern to this day! It's got it all, action, romance, comedy. The dance sequence is one of my favorites. Be ready to love this movie as much as I do.

The Yardbirds - DVD

Description
If you love British rock, garage rock, or just good music in general you definitely need to know who the Yardbirds are. Any band that had three of the greatest guitarists of our time, Eric Clapton (not a huge fan of his, but you have to give him props), Jeff Beck (oh how I love him) and Jimmy Page had to have had something going on. This is basically the story of the Yardbirds, with some great performance footage. I shamelessly admit I mainly bought this to ogle Jeff Beck! Woo Hoo! However, it is a great DVD that can bring you up on your British rock history if you don't know and will be enjoyable for those who do.

This is supposed to be a comedy but I found it sad. Great story though. Johnny Depp in one of his many juicy roles.

Primal Scream - Riot City Blues Tour

Description
Riot City Blues was my absolute favorite CD of last year. It got Primal Scream back to its junky glam sound that I absolutely adore. And, let's face it, Bobby Gillespie is smokin' hot! Also, how can you not help but love a man who allegedly accused Coldplay of being boring. This DVD is not out until Oct. 9. That doesn't mean you can't pre-order!! I've already ordered mine, how about you?

Ronnie and Keef, when they were both delicious, captured on video. What more do you want?
Seriously, here is the description from Amazon:
"Two disc (CD + NTSC/Region 0 DVD) set recorded and filmed live in London in 1974 at a concert in support of Ronnie Wood's first solo album, 'I've Got My Own Album To Do' Ronnie Wood was, at the time, a member of the Faces as well as a solo artist, and he was soon to become the 'new boy' in the Rolling Stones. Wood's band on this live outing featured many of the musicians who helped him on the album, including Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards, Small Faces/Faces keyboardist Ian McLagan and the exceptional talents of session musicians Willie Weeks (bass) and Andy Newmark (drums). Also features a guest appearance from the Faces' vocalist Rod Stewart. Both the Cd and DVD feature an exclusive track with digitally remastered audio and video from Ronnies personal archive. The release includes an eight-page booklet with hand written liner notes by Ronnie Wood and previously unseen photos."

Watch this and see what a great American rock band looks like! These guys are so amazing live (I've seen them at least 3 times). If you have never had the chance to catch them live, or have and just want to reminded how great they are then pick up this up ASAP. It was shot at my beloved Fillmore which makes me love it even more. The only thing wrong with this show is that I wasn't there! heheheheh
