The Dramm watering wand makes watering containers as efficient as possible, important today and for the future as water conservation becomes more and more of an issue. The long handle is great for reaching up to hanging containers.

OXO International Indoor Pour & Store Watering Can

4 people recommended this item

Description

Oxo makes great products. Started by a fellow who wanted to design products for his grandmother, who had arthritis. His quest lead to a line of well-designed, ergonomic houseware items. This yellow watering can was very nicely done.

OXO Good Grips 6-Piece Container Garden Set

First to recommend

Description

This makes a great gift: OXO container gardening set starts with a handy caddy. The five tools in the caddy are designed to be used for pots but strong enough to do hard labor - I have one for the city and the country as they are useful in both large and small gardens.

Terracycle Worm Tea

First to recommend

Description

Everything has to eat - even plants - and the hottest plant food on the market is TerraCycle, made from worm poop (yes it's the best thing for plants) and sold in recycled soda bottles. It's all natural, all organic liquid plant food - and the potting mix is top quality too. I use it in all my containers.

Womanswork Glove

First to recommend

Description

Garden gloves are essential to me - apply handcream before putting them on for a deep conditioning treatment. The gloves I swear by are from WomansWork and the classic 'dressy' glove is my favorite - though I own a few different pairs. Their paisley sun hat would pass muster on any fashion runway - and the sun protection is essential when working outside. Plus it's an Oprah favorite - she wore it while gardening on her show.

Parasol Hummingbird Feeder

First to recommend

Description

Parasol uses all recycled glass in their delicately beautiful bird feeders and other products. The hummingbird feeders are my favorite - they are handblown and make beautiful ornaments for a terrace or city balcony even if there are no hummingbirds in sight.

Goods for the Garden

First to recommend

Description

Eco-source Home & Garden pots are made from all natural by-products of renewable and sustainable crops - and yes they are great looking, hold up to all environments, and decompose easily. Most of us have a hodge podge of containers to plant up - and these have an earthy look that fits in with any outdoor decor.

Tin Garden Lights from VivaTerra

First to recommend

Description

Outdoor lighting is a great way to extend the evening - the more subtle the better. One of my favorite looks is the homemade one - and the artist in Oregon cutting out ferns on recycled tin cans has found a way to light up the night with ever-changing patterns.
