Eclectic and quirky atmosphere..."quirky production techniques, with some of the singing filtered in such a way that it sounds like a radio playing in the next room, or even as though it were recorded on an eighty-year-old tape machine and sown together with crystal-clear harmonies along with the usual odd sounds, were present on the debut and continue with even greater effect on the follow-up. More attention is given to stripping away the unnecessary components and adding to atmosphere, as well as the album's large-scale structure. And I've already mentioned the sisters' have shown more confidence in utilizing their Bjork-like vocal style to greater effect.

this cd has come in and out of my life...a friend of mine introduced me to Veruca a really long time ago...this album is one my favorite girl band albums. It is rock, bass, great sweet vocals that sting in the nicest way...well I have bought and lent it out and it has become a favorite of many of my other girl friends...so I highly recommend this one to all.
