Prescriptives Custom Blend Foundation

First to recommend

2 people recommended this item

Description

From chalkboard white to midnight black, Prescriptives can blend the perfect color for you. Classier than the latest drugstore brand version of "customizing" your shade with a spin dial... and it makes me want to say, "This is my shade... go get your own." Great for people who have a super tough time finding foundation to match their skin color.

Dainty Doll By Nicola Roberts Foundation at ASOS

Description

So maybe no one (hopefully) is this white. But it can be mixed in with your regular foundation to lighten it up so it will closer match your skin. Cheaper than a custom foundation... sent to you from the UK in (what I hear is) pretty good time. Also great for Halloween -- ghost, skeleton, or geisha.

FACE atelier Cosmetics

Description

This company is great because they offer a white foundation and a dark foundation that can be used to lighten or darken your foundation as you need. I've ordered my sample of the white foundation and absolutely cannot wait for it to arrive.

Satin Matte Foundation | Mineral Makeup from Alima Cosmetics

First to recommend

Description

It's all natural and eco-friendly, but that isn't even the best part! How does it get better? Alima makes their mineral foundations in a wide array of colors... from super-pale to dark-as-night, you also get to choose from different shades: Cool, Neutral, Beige, Warm, Golden, and Olive. And if none of those work for you, they also have a custom option where you can have up to three colors mixed together for you.

MAC PRO | Face And Body Foundation

First to recommend

Description

So the average person has to either call or drop into a Mac Pro store in order to purchase the white shade of this stuff, but I'm pretty sure it'd be worth it after I found out that NW15 is waaay too dark for me. Add the white to any favorite (but slightly off) liquid foundation and voila! your perfect shade.

Vincent Longo Liquid Canvas Dew Finish Foundation SPF 15

Description

This makes the cut because it offers two different porcelain colors. Choose between Golden Porcelain (for a little yellow) or just plain Porcelain (for pure pink). I'm definitely interested in this little gem.

Bare Escentuals: i.d. bareMinerals SPF 15 Powder Foundation

17 people recommended this item

Description

While I'm a little more interested in Alima mineral makeup, bareMinerals has the hype around it that keeps me interested. I tried it a while ago and was using Fairly Light which was just too dark for me. I switched back to liquid foundation before I realized that they have a Fair shade, so I might have to give it another go. And when you add some of the eyeshadow in Chenille, you can lighten it up to just the right shade... so there's not too much risk in trying it again!

Sephora: Bare Escentuals i.d. bareMinerals Eye Shadow: Eyeshadow

6 people recommended this item

Description

It may seem a little weird using eye shadow to lighten up a foundation, but when it's all made from minerals... why not? Add a little of this in Chenille to any mineral foundation to customize it to your perfect shade. Just be careful not to dump the loose powder all over yourself!

Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil

6 people recommended this item

Description

If your face tends to get a little oily and you need a powder to keep it under control (like I do), this is almost the perfect powder. It's sheer and won't compromise the color of your foundation. The only problem? Loose powders can be pretty darn messy. I'm willing to deal with the mess for a great looking face!
