Moto-y black boots! Geox shoes breathe through the soles so your feet don't get all clamtastic in hot shoes or when you're walking a bunch. Their ads have these mildly unappealing-yet-effective pictures of steam clouds coming out of the bottom of their shoes. While you don't want to get close to one of those clouds, you probably don't want it trapped in your shoe either. Don't underestimate that foot health!

Also, Geox is Italian, which always helps. Just because.

Thoughtfully mismatched pieces always become favorites of mine because they wear in so many different ways. But the key word here is "subtle." Punky Brewster chic doesn't work for those old enough to drive. These boots have a yellow zipper and a red zipper and shoe-lace tie tops, but mostly what stands out is the svelte boot shape itself.
