Dirty Dancing Purse
2 people recommended this item
Description
I'm not necessarily suggesting you want to buy this particular purse -- unless, of course, you've set up a secret shrine to Patrick Swayze in a dark corner of your basement, and every night, when the kids are in bed, you head downstairs for a a bit of Dirty Dancing that takes you back to those hot, steamy, pre-kid nights of the late 80s....
What I'm impressed with here is the way that the designer has reused something that was obviously meaningful to him/her to create a unique and personal item. This makes me want to check out the Incessant Fad website where this item is available for sale and it also gets my me thinking about what other bits of junk (sorry, Patrick!) from around my own house could be repurposed in all kinds of fun and creative ways. Generation T: 108 Ways to Transform a T-Shirt

Description
The t-shirt as a piece of art -- or as something else entirely (even an iPod case). Get ideas, get inspired, and great creative. Many of these projects can be adapted for kids, so this would also make a great resource book for teachers and families.
