Beavis and Butt-Head - The Mike Judge Collection

Description
Who was dumber: Beavis or Butt-head? I could never figure it out. But I sure enjoyed watching this show, because:
1) It didn't pretend to be smart. It had no hidden meanings, period.
2) They used to show cool videos with chicks and explosions.
3) This show gets funnier as you get more drunk.
4) Cornholio.

Sweeney Todd - The Demon Barber of Fleet Street

Description
After the first 30 minutes of watching "Sweeney Todd" I was thinking, 'Lame. Yet another variation on the Count of Monte Cristo, this time in a musical form.' Nope, not this one. Once it got rolling, it has got my full attention. True, there's a lot of gore in it (it's based on a Goth tale after all), but it all came within a flow of the movie, so it did contribute to the picture as a whole and didn't seem out of place. Overall, this movie is a must see.
P.S. The tagline for this movie should have been: This Count of Monte Cristo will cut your throat and make someone else eat you.

Logan's Run - DVD

Description
A true sci-fi classic. Although a plot is a bit silly (like most sci-fi movies), it is a thoroughly enjoyable one, and the settings really stick in your mind. Is Logan going to find the Sanctuary? Are we?..

Eraserhead - DVD

Description
This is definitely the most disturbing movie of all the greatest movies of all time. You're not likely to have much fun watching it, in fact it will be more like a torture, but it's totally worth watching anyway. You will not forget this movie, no matter how hard you try. The mutant baby, the lady in the radiator and that chicken for dinner will invade your nightmares and never leave.

Timecrimes: Karra Elejalde, Nacho Vigalondo: DVD

Description
A mind-twister movie. There's no expensive visual effects, very conventional settings, and just a handful of actors. But you'll definitely keep thinking about it after you watch it.

The City of Lost Children

Description
Fantastic movie. Yes, it has the word 'children' in the title, and there's quite a few children characters in it, but it's definitely not a movie for kids. 'The City of Lost Children' is the ultimate phantasmagoric movie. Lots of things in it don't make much sense, but it's okay, because you're just watching someone's weird nightmare. Hopefully it's not yours.
Original title: La Cité des enfants perdus
Directed by: Marc Caro and Jean-Pierre Jeunet (of 'Amelie' fame)

Barber of Siberia

Description
Trust me, it's the best movie you've never seen (or even heard of, probably). It's a 3 hours long epic that has it all. It's funny but classy, it's romantic but not cheesy, it's tragic but it makes you feel good after you're done watching.
The movie is narrated mostly in English, but the dialogues are in both English and Russian (with English subtitles).

Religulous: Bill Maher: Movies & TV
First to recommend
Description
Bill Maher is kinda like me - he's smart, he's mean, and he's funny, and you'll find all of that in this documentary. In this movie, Bill Maher is making fun of religions as a whole, as well as pointing out the most ridiculous points in each specific one (although for some reason he doesn't touch two of the most popular religions in the world - hinduism and buddhism). His interviewees are definitely not the brightest folks, so don't expect deep discussions here - it's more of Bill's monolog. His jokes though make this documentary entertaining and not a dull film to watch.
