The Little Guide to Vintage Shopping: Insider Tips, Helpful Hints, Hip Shops
First to recommend
Description
I have a Goodwill phobia. Mostly because it smells narsty, no matter which location you go to. But apparently there's some great stuff in there...but you don't have to go Goodwill to go vintage. In fact, designer resale shops are my favorite. Sure, you'll see a couple seriously fug things, but mixed in between mostly crap are some little treasures.
The Little Guide to Vintage Shopping will help you become a believer in the hunt for vintage clothes. How do I know? Nylon Magazine can't stop Tweeting and bloggin' about it. I have to reserve my copy at Borders!

Description
Fashion "coffee table" books are a marvel, but the trick is picking the right ones. This would certainly qualify as one of the worthy ones. Stunning fashion photographs are cover to cover in Avedon Fashion: 1944-2000, celebrating the life's work of a legend. I'm headed to Borders right now.

Despite the fact I've never tried these, I consider myself a cupcake connoisseur of sorts. And considering the woman who made these famous won the NYC award for best cupcakes, I'd say they're winners.
