Smiley's Nose Plugs

First to recommend

Description

Best noseplugs that stay on your nose and don’t fall off. Great for beginners who are learning to roll and wonderful for pros who are doing big tricks. Eliminates water from being shot up your nose when you flip over. A must buy with kayaking.

Lotus Lolita Life Jacket

First to recommend

Description

I'm concerned about two things, safety and mobility. This lifejacket is US Coast Guard Approved and provides me with maximum mobility. It doesn't hinder my movement when performing tricks. Its is tailored to fit women since we have shorter torsos or smaller frames then men.

Red Bull Energy Drink

Description

OK- I am not sure if Red Bull is actually good, bad, or indifferent from a pure health perspective. But it sure does work. When I need to concentrate at work, having a Red Bull helps me to hyper-focus on the task at hand. A great tool to help grind thru long ppt's or other things that required extended focus.

I am less into Red Bull as something to drink during sports. When I am actually doing a sport, I can get my adrenaline going w/out the extra stimulants which I sort of find to be distracting.

That said, a Red Bull post-session is a great way to end a day of climbing, surfing, etc when you are tired but need a pick-me up, etc

Teva Proton II

First to recommend

Description

If you kayak, you need a shoe, the Teva Proton. Safety is important. You have to get in and out of your boat when you kayak whether it's scouting a rapid, walking your boat to and from the water, swimming in the river, or more importantly being prepared for a river rescue. You don't want to be thinking about slipping and falling or stepping on broken glass. That is why proper footwear is vital in kayaking just like a lifejacket and helmet.

Werner Double Diamond Carbon Paddle

First to recommend

2 people recommended this item

Description

This paddle is lightweight, dependable, and durable. The blades don't wear down in a season and the paddle does not break which is important when running Class V. Werner makes a small shaft paddle for women since we have smaller hands than men. In kayaking, the boat is your body and the paddle is your hands. Having the proper boat and paddle is essential in kayaking.
