Description
While I am now aware that there was a Fall Out Boy album before this one, I was introduced to FOB when From Under the Cork Tree came out; that one video was always on MTV Sugar, We're Going Down and from there I was hooked! This album is on constant play on my iPod when I'm working out!

Supernatural: Santana: Music

Carlos Santana is mean on his guitar!!! I love the slowing sensual sounds of Carlos Santana's music! Not to mention his bang up collabos on this particular album; Wyclef, Lauryn Hill, Everlast, Eagle Eye Cherry - This was and still is one of my favorite cds to date!

Representing my home state of Virginia quite lovely are Clipse. With their beats produced by Heavyweights the Neptunes and lyrics for days, The Clipse first CD was easily one of my favorites! I went to see them at the 9:30 club in DC and they came down to Tallahassee for FAMU homecoming and I was front row center spittin the lyrics right back to them! oh, yeah and I got some face time with them and took pics!

OK! If you haven't heard this CD or seen the MTV special on it uh you're crazy and maybe live under some rock! This is one of the BEST music collabs that I have in my collection! I have an avid fan of Jay-Z for over a decade(wow I'm old) and I never changed the channel when Linkin Park was on so I knew this would be a great music collab; lo and behold it was! This CD gets heavy play on my iPod during workouts

What's the 411?: Mary J. Blige: Music

Description
OK any person who was able to go and buy their own CDs in the 90's and truly had an appreciation for and loved only good music surely had this CD on heavy rotation! What's the 411? introduced me to mary and ever since I've bought every CD! Tracks like Reminisce, REAL LOVE, You Remind Me, Sweet Thing, Love no Limit! What are you kidding me! lol! At the tender age of oh 15, I'm sure I didn't know what mary was going through back then, but through her music you can feel! Ah, great CD!

When this CD came out in 97 I quickly copped it and then to validate my LOVE of this album, on a trip to NY with my fashion class in higschool I get to see Mary, herself coming out of a taping of the Letterman show!!! WHAT! I was too thrilled! I didn't get to speak to her but I was able to snap pictures and quickly got them developed and tucked them into my album cover, LOL!

Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor: Lupe Fiasco: Music

Kick Push - do you remember that song, well the instant I heard it I was like, yo who is Lupe Fiasco! I knew he was on Kanye's Touch the Sky and that intrigued me, but Kick Push made me buy the CD. Now while I admit I couldn't wait for the CD to come out so I got a burned copy BUT once the CD came out I went and bought two albums, one for my house and one for my car - yup I loved the CD that much! Food & Liquor to me was like when I first heard Kanye's College Dropout - fresh. He wasn't talking about the crap that everyone else was; his lyrics and style were fresh and refreshing to hear. Sunshine will always be my favorite song off this album

The College Dropout

Description
Easily one of the greatest albums ever, to me. When I heard the bootleg of this CD I was hooked! (again, once the CD came out, I promptly bought about 5 albums, lol, I love Kanye!) One of my friends and I used to go to all these hole-in-the-wall clubs in DC to see and hear him perform! I mean we went EVERYWHERE Kanye was to show up and back then when he was new, hungry and a leetle bit humble(LOL) he performed at these small venues for his adoring fans who knew every word from his College Dropout album and the words to the songs that didn't make it on the released album, ah those were the days! I remember when i met him, we bonded over a pair of jeans we both had on, gotta love it!
