No, Seriously. - a list by naile
Options for This Page
About this list:
This is kind of like my shopping list. I'm determined to own everything here. Once I do buy it, I'll stick it on the list of things that I do own and update the review, letting you know just how worth it the purchase was! It's called "no, seriously" because I do want a lot of things, but all of these are very practical and will be a big help in my life.
Qualifications:
I have to own it before December 31, 2009. Or else.

Scoop Neck Tee Dress in Olympic Sulphur by James Perse

Description
This dress is exactly what I'm looking for. Hands down. It's very warn and casual looking, the color is vintage-esque and the cut is great. On my list.

Long Racerback by James Perse

Description
James Perse is definitely one of my favorite casual designers. This tank is the perfect example of what he makes. With an emphasis on the cut and a very no extra ruffles attitude, all of these pieces are very casual chic. The colors are all either very concentrated or just barely there and they all have that take-no-prisoners-heathered-soft-enough-to-fall-apart feel. I love this.

Fleece Scoop Neck Dress

Description
This fleece scoop neck dress is perfect for a chilly day or if you know you'll be indoors with the air cranked up. Very simple and understated, that's what Mr. Perse does best and it's obvious that this dress has a girl's figure in mind. Definitely on my shopping list already!

Cashmere Blended Cardigan by James Perse

Description
It's not the cheapest way to keep warm but at least I can be snuggely on my walk to the unemployment line! This cardigan is a blend of cotton and cashmere and the cut is great. It's meant to hit at the end of your waist, so I would wear it with a longer top or even a dress. Yes!

Dr. Scholl's - For Her Open Shoe Insoles
First to recommend
Description
If you didn't make fun of the "Are You Gellin'" commercials about five years ago, then I don't know what to say. Despite their deeply embedded advertisements, these insole gels are a really good idea. Perfect for heels that need some extra comfort, or if your shoes are to big, often these help to fill them out a little bit. This "open shoe" piece in particular is perfect for sandals/strappy heels because they are black and very slim so you get comfort and discretion! Perfect!

Okay this is going on my purchasing list for a lot of reasons.
1. I love the way this is cut. It's so cute for something this conservative.
2. I am always on the lookout for dresses like this to wear for work events because I do have quite a few tattoos and this one would do well to cover my chest up.
3. The midnight blue color is beautiful!
4. Just look at the crochet work on the bottom and the slight bat wing sleeves. I'm drooling!

I love this shirt, and I might actually buy this one. Brian Lichtenberg designed the print for this casual screened tee by Blood Is The New Black. Very cool for a weekend under a cardigan.

Plumeria Pullover by Free People

Description
I think that this is the comfiest looking top that I have ever seen. I might actually buy it because of that, I love how warm heather gray looks and I think the cut is absolutely gorgeous. Way to kill it Free People!

She's Cracked Jacket by Karen Walker.
First to recommend
Description
I love this jacket! The material is VERY cracked and worn looking and the fit is unbelievable. The sleeves are perfect in proportion to where the waist of the jacket ends and gold embellishment on the lapels reminds me of some kind of half wilted flower. I think the shoulders have to be my favorite part, they're really Victorian looking and the exact sleeve you need for a little extra presence in a crowded room. The belt hanging at the bottom adds that extra bit of nuance. A+
