I upgraded from the original Sidekick to the Sidekick ii and now to the Sidekick 3. The SK3 is better. The keyboard is better. IM has been improved with the addition of MSN and organizing the IMs into a single area. The browser appears a little faster. Did I mention that the best keyboard on the market got better.

The screen is still not hot (i.e. not clickable). Software is still limited but I tried a device with Windows Mobile 5 which has every app possible and it did nothing well.

I am a Sidekick lifer!

I went from a brick of a Toshiba to an amazing, light-weight Sony Vaio. I seem to be moving more to Sony over time: Vaio desktop at home for the family, PSP, formerly a Clie (I wish Sony had made a Clie phone).

The Vaio laptop makes my geek pack much lighter. If only I can hack the Sidekick to hook it up as a modem via Bluetooth.

If you are a busy, on the go person who loves to play video games, how often do you get time to sit down and play a video game?

Not very often is the answer. If there was a way you could take a decent console with you everywhere you go... and maybe you can enjoy 45 minutes to an hour of game play. On a plane, or waiting for an appointment...

Hm.

Games like LocoRoco are making the idea of "casual gaming" come to life. If you have not seen that game, you must!

Now! Leave your house, or office and go get it. Or fire-up your web browser and order it online. Don't have a PSP. Order one too!

Sony MDR-NC5 Noise Canceling Headphones

Description

Noise-cancelling headphones are a requirement for flying. Noise is the biggest cause of fatigue when it comes to travel.

Sony's headphones are sufficient in the $50-$75 range. I haven't tried the Bose headphones for $300 but can't imagine why they are necessary.

Saw the recomendations on ThisNext and bought some through Amazon. I'm glad I have them and would recommend them to others, but wish the ends closed a little tighter to better secure stiffer cords.

Warning: Do not purchase these from "IGgFactory Handhelditems" (an Amazon vendor). They only sent me half my order and never responded to any of my emails through Amazon or their own web site even though I provided my cell phone. When I posted about this on Amazon, they started sending me money offers to take down the negative feedback. Too late.

OK, so you saw that I have a Canon Digital Rebel. Why do I need an Exilim as well? Well, this is a lightweight camera with a big screen. I can stick this one in my pocket and have it wherever I go. It's great to shoot pictures of my kids. Cameras on phones are toys so this is great to get 5 migapixel images.
