About this list:
I’m not super complicated, and here’s why. Pour me a Guinness and play some R.E.M. and I’m as content as can be.

Description
I can’t do anything without coffee. The stronger the better. More is not enough. Ironically, however, when I visit my favorite city, Seattle, I skip the ’bucks in lieu of the best coffee shop anywhere — Joe Bar (joebar.org). (via Starbucks)

I recently fell upon this site while surfing kottke.org. You can make your own jewel cases for CDs and DVDs. Brilliant. I ordered 20. (via JewelBoxing)

Moleskine Notebook

Description
What I love about Moleskine notebooks is how well they stand up in purses, briefcases, and other harsh environments. (Lesser notebooks can't hack being holed up with car-keys, loose change, and other misc. stuff.) They also come in a variety of sizes and formats (see http://www.moleskine.com). If you're jotting down story/book ideas, you may find that blank notebooks are more useful than the lined notebooks. Lined notebooks tend to lend themselves more to lists and structured things -- at least IMHO. (via unraveling)

True, I’m currently writing for this 1.7 million -circulation title, but I’ve also been a subscriber for over 10 years. I get about 30 magazines a month, but I read Men’s Health cover-to-cover. (via Men's Health)

Hanes White Crew T-Shirt
First to recommend
Description
In college I started wearing a white T-shirt—for everything, under everything. Sometimes I wear one solo with jeans or under a sport coat, but mostly under a dress shirt or polo. That shirt has always been a Hanes crew. To my tastes, they’re the best. When the necks don’t hold their shape anymore, time to get a new 10-pack. (via Hanes)

Three Christmases ago my wife bought me this bag so I could bike around with my Apple Powerbook. I’ve used it every day since – both as a briefcase and when riding. It’s fabulous. (via Timbuk2)

You wouldn’t believe how many bartenders don’t know how to pour a proper black and tan. Whip out this baby and show ‘em how it’s done. Perfect head every time. (via Terrapin Beer)

Rocket 7 Cycling Shoes (Leather)

Description
I ride one of my bikes at least four times a week. No matter which one it is, I strap-on these custom leather cycling shoes. They were a bit spendy, but man are they comfy. (via Rocket7)

Description
The best band in the world’s best album, Automatic is soul food for my ears. When I’m down, happy, in the mood for Stipe and strings, or whatever the case, I reach for any one of multiple copies I own. I once wrote an entire film script while only listening to Document, another masterpiece. (via REM)
