Origins | Plantidote Mega-Mushroom Face Serum
6 people recommended this item
Description
I've always had beautiful skin but when I moved to the Bay Area, this windy weather wreaked havoc on my dry completion. For years, I had to layer a minimum of 3 moisturizers to keep my skin hydrated until I found Origins | Plantidote™ Mega-Mushroom Face Serum. This product immediately (I mean within the first 24 hours) took my dry skin from blah to tah-dah! It soaks into my skin, does its magic and leaves behind a healthy sun-kissed glow. I will admit that I got a severe cause of sticker shock when I first saw the price but this product has more than paid for itself. If you a crave a product that can breathe life into your skin then take it from ME, this serum works!

KORRES Magnolia Cleanser

Description
I have dry and somewhat sensitive skin (not rash prone, but blush prone). Although it has taken me a long time to fix my addiction to scrubs and squeaky clean feeling cleansers, I have finally found a product worth of investment beyond the basic Cetaphil. This is a soft and lovely cleanser, that leave my skin feeling tidy and comfortable, and has a wonderful (but not hyperactive) scent.

Description
I bought this in a hotel after a long flight and it did happy wonders for my rosy (read: inflamed) cheeks. I believe the secret ingredient is arnica, which is a useful weapon against bruises, soreness, and inflammation.

I was given a sample of this at a hotel, and along with a bath and a few generous glasses of water helped me recover from the thirsty, tired feeling of being on a long flight. Left my skin feeling soft, but not stripped or squeaky clean, hurrah!

(Malin + Goetz) Sage Styling Cream

Description
I am a low maintenance hair girl. I rarely blow dry my hair, I don't like finicky styling products. But I love love love the scent of this styling cream. So, I generally use it like this: either do a vigorous towel dry or shake of the head when I exit the shower, squeeze two fingertips of styling cream onto my hand, rub it into the scalp towards the back of my head, and ta da! I smell like lovely sage all day (well, probably only as much as I notice it). I am sure the styling does wonders to contain the frizz of my fine hairs, but I don't really notice beyond loving the scent. ha!

I love non-sticky, slightly haphazard, mildly messy (but not tangled) beach hair, and this often allows me to have it (or more often than my one day at the beach a year).

Peter Thomas Roth Instant Mineral SPF 30

Description
I am a sunloving girl trapped in a complexion of truly nordic constitution. Plus, unfortunately, I have an abhorrence of typical sunscreen: heavy scented, greasy feel, and the constant desire to jump in the water to rinse it all off.
Hence, I get really excited about different approaches and products to encourage my daily application of SPF 15+. This is a product that I have to try, since the idea is a perfect meeting of powder and protection.

Murad Vitalic Energizing Pomegranate Moisturizer

Description
Purchased at the beginning of the summer, this is a nice and lightweight moisturizer to ensure that I am wearing sunscreen every morning before I leave the house. It does have a soft, sweet fragrance, but is not overwhelming. And, most importantly, it doesn't smell at all like sunscreen and goes on like a non-greasy dream!
