Yankee Candle Company
4 people recommended this item
Description
This is a widely popular candle that I picked up at Bed, Bath and Beyond. I bought the scent called, "Clean Cotton" which is exactly what it smells like, somewhere between freshly laundered sheets and something vaguely vanilla. The candle is big, and not especially graceful, it is a bell shaped glass that resembles a fat lady. But these last a long time, and have an industrial strength ability to remove offensive odors quickly.

Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day
2 people recommended this item
Description
I had seen Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day at Whole Foods, but at $5 a bottle, I found the dishwashing liquid price kind of steep. Then I got a coupon, and purchased a bottle.
Now I'm addicted. You cannot go back to Joy or Dawn after using this high quality, aromatherapeutic soap which is made with essential oils that turn washing dishes into some sort of spa experience.
I highly recommend Mrs. Meyer's and think it's worth a dollar or two more just to have it in my house.

Tam Dao by Diptyque
First to recommend
Description
This is a very subtle, Asian, sandalwood scent. Diptyque is a French company, most famous for their exquisite candles, but they also have a small, select line of perfumes and colognes that are sold in some boutiques and Diptyque stores. "Tam Dao" is named after a Vietnamese village and has a very woodsy, Zen like scent. It doesn't overpower, and is perfect for those who want subtlety and understatement on their skin. Murphy Oil Soap – Murphy's Original Formula, Squirt & Mop, Spray and Wipes for all your wood care needs!
First to recommend
Description
This is an organic, biodegradable product that has been around for 100 years. My grandmother used it. It is a soap, not a detergent, and therefore not as harsh as some chemical cleaners. What I love about it is its versatility: you can clean wood floors, wood furniture, and even tile and vinyl. It leaves a clean, old fashioned smell that lasts longer than most detergents. It is not expensive, and it's good for the environment.

Carthusia, I Profumi di Capri

Description
I have a bottle of Ligea La Sirena and it has a strange effect on people. It is a scent that would work on both men and women. It has notes of Opopanox, citrus and bergamot...both fresh and sensual. I'm a guy, and today a straight guy in my gym asked me about my cologne and said he is going to take his wife with him to buy a bottle! This scent is elegant, wearable and may make people around you behave quite strange! (via Nordstrom)

Febreze Fabric Refresher, Original, 16.9 fl oz
3 people recommended this item
Description
I think this is one of the best home scents to have ever been invented. Febreze is a fabric spray that works quicker to remove last night's garlic and fish dinner than any home spray. It has a clean, fabric softener smell. I will use it in the morning to spray my bed, and then walk into the dining room, and aim it at the curtains. Any bad odors are gone. Febreze costs less than $5 and is sold everywhere.
