Riedel Sommelier Chianti/Zinfandel Glass

First to recommend

Description

These are fabulous for when I open a really good bottle of wine. The crystal is very thin and the shapes do matter. But who was room for all of those glasses? The Chiantai glass is a good multipurpose shape.

I like this better than a Cuisinart because it´s water-tight and you can puree liquids in it without leakage.

Bamboo Cutting Board by Sur La Table

First to recommend

3 people recommended this item

Description

These come from a sustainable wood source and are very durable and beautiful. I hate plastic cutting boards! If you wash these well, you´ll be fine as far as food safety goes. If you want to distinguish the sweet from savory side (so you don´t mix the flavor of strawberries with onions!), just take a Sharpie and make a little mark on each side to remind you which is which.

Le Creuset Silicone Spatula

Description

They´re great. They are sturdier and more heat resistant than a regular spatula. Great for cooking delicate foods.

Zyliss Easy Spin Salad Spinner, Saffron

First to recommend

Description

This one has a string-pull that works much better than the other types. Always get the kind of salad spinner that has a closed bowl at the bottom--unless you have a special sink just for salad greens!
