I like the fact that David Lynch describes Eraserhead as his "most spiritual" film.

My feeble mind cannot begin to comprehend Kieslowski's genius, and I'm not sure how to begin adequately expressing my appreciation for this series of films... I'm simply floored.

Japanese Noh Masks

Description
Any creative person should see the value of decorating their home with Noh masks and wearing them around the house. To unwind after a hard day, I sometimes take off all of my clothes, put on a Noh mask, then suddenly jump out of the closet when my roommate tries to hang up her coat. It really is a laugh riot.

Jan Svankmajer's Alice

Description
This is the most beautiful, surreal, and disturbing retelling of a favorite story of my youth. As an adult, I appreciate that Svankmajer's Alice maintains her innocence despite being immersed in a truly grotesque, horrifying, and fascinating world. Alice and Svankmajer's newest film, Lunacy, are my very favorites.

Peter Whitehead - Three Bags Full

Description
This album is fantastic, particularly because many of the instruments used were created by the artist from a variety of found objects -- circular saw blades, spoons, a branch or two -- along with conventional instruments, such as cello. Lovely!

Description
John Bock's artwork is just so much fun! I especially love his film, "Meechfieber", and it's accompanying installation piece. One can get lost in his work for hours!

I'm pretty much just attempting to win some David Lynch merchandise, otherwise I wouldn't be tagging everything...
