Description

I don’t usually like gadgets but this electric milk frother makes wonderfully airy milk when I’m in the mood for latte but not in the mood for getting out the espresso maker and steamer. The other part of my morning fix!

The California Heritage Cookbook

First to recommend

Description

Put out by the Junior League of Pasadena in 1976 – this is the book I always turn to when I want a recipe for a basic dish with a twist. The recipes reflect European, Mexican, and Asian traditions, as well as the California fresh style of cooking. One of my tried-and-true cookbooks.

My favorite pan. After years of use this skillet is virtually nonstick, but it also browns foods beautifully.

Jewel of Russia Classic Vodka

3 people recommended this item

Description

While I'm not totally proud to admit it, I do end up consuming many bottles of Vodka a week inside of Las Vegas nightclubs. Usually it's Grey Goose, occasionally it's Skyy, and every now and then I get to try something a bit different.

When Studio 54 re-launched earlier this year, they were fully sponsored by Jewel of Russia. Not only did I have 5 cases of this stuff lying around in my garage for my friends and I to enjoy while we pre-partied, but we also were served this each and every Tuesday at Studio 54.

It's easily on par with most other high-end Vodkas, and seems to go down smoothly as a straight shot.

This is an oval teapot, not bulbous. It reminds me of long afternoons in Russia conversing with friends over endless cups of tea.
