I have tried both professionally applied acrylic nails and this do-it-yourself nails. True the professional applied stay on very well but these certainly give a salon set a run for it's money! Especially considering these are a fraction of the cost in money AND time! The possibility of damaging your own nail is relatively slim compared to a salon as well which is quite frankly a godsend for an adventurous glam girl such as myself. Sure a random nail popped off during laundry, opening my car door and even during sex BUT it never hurt and I just grabbed the nail and re-glued :) good as new! Great product!

Yes, you should of course have black and/or brown mascara in your beauty box but for some real intriguing glamour try fringing those lashes in deep dark BLUE. Blues look AMAZING with dark brown eyes and give the illusion that they are more than just brown. I will even add a light stroke of blue to my eyebrows to further intensify and coordinate the look!

I love having long girly nails-unfortunately Mother Nature did not grant me such things per my genetics. Getting an acrylic set professional applied can be rather costly and it also takes FOREVER so I was pretty excited to try these lovelies out on a whim. Just under $7 these look amazing and are a snap to apply YOUR VERY OWN SELF! As an artist and adventurous glamour girl I am also more prone to injury and issue. So instead of ripping a professionally applied acrylic nail off along with my own nail I've found these things just sort of pop off if I get a little too rough with my "handy" activities :) That's a lot more comfortable and less a liability.

Did I mention they are cheap too? And gorgeous! Who could ask for anything more?

Garden Botanika Lipsticks

Getting a flattering lip color can be a challenge of mythic proportions-especially for me and my weird warmish cool skin tone. So I latched onto the "Platinum" lipstick I found as part of a Cool skin tone makeup kit and have been a fan ever since. This company has a lot of flattering and natural colors and the wear is pretty long. There is something cool about the cute green tube they come in too. Good makeup "staple" to have in your beauty box.

Kashi Frozen Entrees, Lemon Rosemary Chicken

Whenever I am feeling like a bit of a lazyass BUT the health nut voice in my head won't let me order out for pizza, I just run to the store and grab me a couple of these tasty little entrees. They are like the only "microwaveable" dinners I will purchase because they are a)packed full of protein AND fiber b)delicious and c)satisfying (I do like to add a bit of butter to them though). Reasonably priced for a health food item and easy to find in the regular grocery store as well as special health food stores. Yum it up!

Glamorous and exotic chips for glamorous girls :) And sure, boys too. Having gone the "health nut" route long ago and bored with potato and corn chips a friend of mine introduced me to these crispy little root vegetables. The variety is wonderful and very tasty even with their so called "exotic" vegetables. And the bag is just sexy-black and lovely. So you can snack in style AND health!

Finding a beautifully wearable, comfortable, and affordable lipstick has been quite the challenge for me over the years. I usually default to lipgloss. I purchased this lipstick in "Coffee Shimmer" and "Heather Shimmer" on a sort of whim while I was adding to my beauty box and the price was right. Feels great and these shades are sexy neutrals that just about anyone can wear, and they do stand the "reasonable" test of time :) (via Rimmel London)

Kopali Organics Organic Dried Goldenberry

Wow, these are strangely yummy and addictive. I picked these up at Whole Foods on a whim (I'm quite the fruit lover) and was at first intrigued with the ultra tartness and crunch, not quite sure if I would really "get into" them and then I couldn't put the things down. And 5g of FIBER? Holy crap! Literally! :) So uh...nibble with care.

Rainbow Light Complete Nutritional System

Vitamins aren't particularly glamorous but they are essential for having a beautiful foundation. Like a lot of unenlightened folks I was taking some multivitamin that centrum made-and not feel all that healthy actually (made me weirdly nauseous). My super cool doctor recommended these to me and they have just about EVERYTHING in them. My regular vitamin popping with these has paid off really well-I feel more energetic, I digest better (thanks to enzymes), my skin looks great and heals faster, etc. etc. 3 a day, that's all ya need!
