I'm usually a chick lit type of gal, but something about the story intrigued me enough to pick up a copy. I'm super glad I did, because it was smart, heart-warming, and still light enough to fit into my chick lit reading list. It's about a well-known food critic who moves from California to take a job in New York. When she realizes that all the restaurants have been tipped off that she's coming, she decides to disguise herself and see how "real people" are treated when they go to New York City's top restaurants.
