M.A.C Studio Fix Powder Plus - FOUNDATION
8 people recommended this item
Description
Lipstick, my Burt's Bees chapstick and my MAC Studio Fix compact are the three make-up items I never leave the house without. Prior to discovering Studio Fix, I was one of those people that couldn't wear powder because it was too dry and made my skin itchy, and couldn't wear foundation because it was too heavy and made my skin itchy. MAC Studio Fix was sent by the Cosmetic Gods. Most people don't even think I'm wearing any make-up other than lipstick. (via M*A*C)

MAC Cosmetics | Lipstick

Description
I've been wearing only MAC lipstick for over 15 years because it's the only one that doesn't leave a weird, waxy feeling and taste on my lips. I can't explain this bizarre phenomenon. But I've tried what seems like every brand of lipstick known to woman or cross-dresser and MAC is the only one I like. Lucky for me (since I've limited myself) MAC has a broad range of colors for every mood, skin color, preference and occasion. My personal favorites are: Fetish (metallic brown), Bronze shimmer (metallic gold), Ruby Woo (matte bright red), Dubonnet (creme wine), Redwood (discontinued but you can still find it online) and Solar Plum (metallic reddish purple). Laura Mercier - Colour - Secret Camouflage
4 people recommended this item
Description
It's difficult for me to find concealer that works with my Asian skin tone. Laura Mercier's Camouflage is perfect because you can blend it until it's the perfect shade. It sounds complicated but with a little practice it becomes a lot easier (I can hide dark circles under my eyes in under 30 seconds). The best thing about it is that it doesn't feel very heavy AND it actually conceals. Most concealers show up like you coated what you were hiding in a faint beige film. Camouflage actually conceals whatever it is you're trying to hide; dark circles, bags, pimples or in my case, the time my friend wrote on me with a permanent marker. (via Laura Mercier)

MAC Lip Pencil
5 people recommended this item
Description
My issue with lip liners in the past has been that they're either too dry and end up looking too plastic or they're too creamy and my lipstick bleeds. MAC lip liners hold your lipstick in place and yet are creamy enough to blend in with the lipstick. My favorites are Chestnut (for dark brown shades), Mahogany (for reds and lighter browns) and Half-Red (for lighter colors). (via M*A*C)

Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm

Description
I'm just adding to the white noise but Burt's Bees Lip Balm so deserves it. This is the best chapstick ever. This chapstick is so great that it had to have been made by fairies and elves deep in the rainforests of Brazil, on a full moon when Venus is in the Seventh House. (via Burt's Bees)

Frederic Fekkai Body Cream with Shea Butter
3 people recommended this item
Description
Shea butter in general is a blessing to the skin but this particular body cream is wonderful. The scent is light (some shea butters carry too strong of a vanilla-nut-wax smell) yet it moisturizes your skin very well. My skin can get very dry and cracked during the winter so I make sure to alays have a tube handy. A plane ticket to a warmer climate would also fix that issue though. (via Bath and Body Works)

Borghese Fango Mud for Face & Body

Description
An amazing volcanic mask that purges every bit of oil to give you a deep cleansing. It’s perfect for oily skin. I’m addicted to it. It’s hard not to use it everyday to take off the everyday city grime

Bath and Body Works There's the Rub Sea Salt Exfoliating Scrub

Description
I grew up in L.A. and work in New York City. Despite my affinity for both cities, I can't deny that they often leave you coated in a film of grime. After a day of standing in dirty subway stations or wading through pollution, you need something to scrub it all off and leave you feeling fresh, clean and brand spanking new. This is it. Lancome DÉFINICILS
10 people recommended this item
Description
My mascara dilemma is that I have short, sparse eyelashes yet wear contacts and have allergies. So the vain person in me screams "No sane person wears an evening gown and doesn't wear mascara" while the sickly, itchy-eyed person in me whimpers "What about our allergies?" Lancome Definicils mascara satisfies both people. It's pricier than most mascaras but worth it if you use mascara frequently. For people who scoff at the idea of wearing mascara, I think it's one of the most underrated cosmetics out there. Mascara does wonders for your eyes. (via Lancome)

Oh! de Moschino Perfume for Women by Moschino
First to recommend
Description
I discovered this perfume at Saks about ten years ago and though I wear others, it has remained my favorite. It was discontinued so you can find it online for very cheap. I love perfumes and colognes but can't wear most of them due to allergies. Oh! is a delightful exception. It has a very light, floral scent with a hint of sandalwood and musk. (via fragranceX.com)
