Ogio Edge Golf Bag

First to recommend

Description

When I bought my latest set of golf clubs, I also bought an OGIO Edge golf bag. The Edge is OGIO’s answer to a hybrid, living somewhere between a tricked-out stand bag and a lightweight cart bag. This bag has an external-frame, includes a really cool ball pocket, anti-twist straps and loads of other features like a rain cover.

TaylorMade r7 CGB Max 3-PW Iron Set

First to recommend

Description

Two of my best friends turned me on to Taylor Made r7 clubs. I bought a complete set of irons and my golf game is better than it's ever been. I don't play as much as I would like because golf takes up so much time, but then again what golfer do you know that would say they play enough golf? My favorite course in the LA area is Woodley Lakes - a place that ironically has neither woods nor lakes - all the better for my golf game. See you on the links!

Pocket Ball Pump

First to recommend

Description

A pocket sized small ball pump is a "must have" for anyone that plays beach volleyball because if your ball's been in the closet for a few days it will lose air. And, if it's really hot outside - then your ball is feel over-inflated. This pump has a little valve for letting extra air out of the ball, so the end result is perfect contact, good ball control, and perfect flight.

CamelBak 25 oz Water Bottle

First to recommend

Description

I use the Camelbak 25 ounce water bottle as a way to drink plenty of water while not wasting a ton of money on bottled water and doing my part to help the environment. The bottle is a nice size, easy to clean, and comes in lots of colors. More important, you can get your daily recommended fill of H2O by drinking just 2 1/2 of these during the day. :-)

ps: This bottle is also perfect for short hikes with the dog or the Sig. O.

Wilson AVP Official International Game Ball Volleyball

Description

This is it! This is THE game ball that everyone on the beach in Southern California plays beach volleyball with when they get serious about the sport. The Wilson AVP International leather game ball! Play to live -- live to play!

ps: Costco has the best price I've found, but they are only available in their SoCal stores and not online. :-(

Kiehl's - Intensive Treatment for Dry or Callused Areas

First to recommend

Description

I play a lot of beach volleyball and the sand just destroys my feet and my dry skin. I'm not sure what I would do if I had not discovered Kiehl's Intensive Treatment for Dry or Callused areas. It's the best. I would spend the extra money and get the 8 ounce jar. This stuff is enriched with Avocado Oil, Shea Butter and smells great!

Neutrogena Active Breathable Sunblock, SPF 45

First to recommend

2 people recommended this item

Description

I'm not sure if it's due to global warming or the strength of the Southern California sun, but the melanin in my skin is no longer keeping me from getting sunburned. Ouch! So, I rely on Neutrogena Active Breathable Sunblock to keep my face, nose, ears, and neck from getting too much sun. I use the cheap stuff for my arms and shoulder, but I only use the good stuff for my face. Neutrogena sunblock is PABA-free, hypoallergenic, and non-comedogenic (which means it won't clog your pores and cause zits). Now, get out there and enjoy the outdoors!

Chamois Butt'r Lubricant

First to recommend

Description

One of the first things you experience when you start in the sport of cycling is butt pain. You try different brands of bike shorts, you try different saddles, you even try different positions -- of course none of these things will work. You're a new cyclist and having a sore butt is part of the process. Then, you discover, what I call Butt Butter - better known as Paceline Product's Chamois Butt'r! From that point forward, your butt will love you!

LeMond Racing Cycles: Zurich

First to recommend

Description

My first bike was a Lemond Zurich back when they were made of steel. I think it is one of the best all-around bikes that is a perfect blend of price and performance. This bike is by no means cheap, but like the list says "it is worth the money!" If you're new to the sport of cycling or just looking for a new bike, i recommend you either splurge or save your money to buy a Lemond Zurich.

Castelli "Free" Bib Cycling Shorts

First to recommend

Description

These bib shorts are like butter! They seriously will make your butt feel like that 75 mile ride you just finished was a ride around the block. They look great and even better - they feel great! If I ever hit the lottery, this is the only brand/model of cycling short that I will ever wear. :-)
