About this list:
Yes, I am a geek. I love computer and gadgets. I've owned four desktop computers, two Palm-based handhelds, a SmartPhone and two laptops. We have an Xbox360 and a Wii. I take apart my computer to upgrade the video card about twice a year, since I'm a gamer.

PowerSquid Outlet Multiplier

Description
I gave this to my husband for Christmas. It's so much easier to use than a power strip, and you can also get it with surge protection.

My best friend needs this, pronto, so that she can stop blaming her avoiding my calls on her bad reception. Really though, I know so many people with apartments in LA who after moving in, just have no reception and there's nothing they can do about it. Except with this, there is. Up your reception so that you no longer have to go out in the cold to talk to your friends and family. Nice.

Description
This item offers many features that have proved to be elusive on other consoles, such as Xbox Live and amazing graphics that the gamers of the early days could only dream and fantisize about. Also (much like the Nintendo Wii) you can buy games through Xbox Live, hard to find games that would cost loads of money on like eBay, except that you can buy games from ANY system, unlike the Wii which I've been told that can only get previous Nintendo games. This is a great system to be involved with. (via gamespot.com)

Everquest II: Echoes of Faydwer

Description
I gave up on Everquest a few years ago because it was so hard. Call me a wimp, but I'm not the only one. I started playing EQ2 a few months ago. What a huge difference! Much more user-friendly. Much more enjoyable. Many fewer people than World of Warcraft, but for a lot of people that's a good thing. In the new expansion, Echoes of Faydwer, you can play a Fae, wings and all. Now you can float gently down from the treetop platforms of Kelethin instead of going splat! on the ground.
