Jars Vuelta Blue Stoneware
First to recommend
Description
Really beautiful everyday tableware from Jars Ceramiques in the south of France. The design is modern and functional with a slight art deco feel, but the blue glaze gives it rustic character. I have two mugs, two espresso cups and saucers and the jug which is gorgeous. I'm planning to slowly collect this range piece by piece until I have the whole set - the teapot being the crowning glory (it's my birthday soon)..hint hint. (plates, cough, I need some)
(Also comes in pearl glaze)
p.s. there is no way you can buy this at either Amazon, Target or Replacements but I can't remove shopping.com's charming, yet inaccurate addition to my listing. What's happened to the once lovely thisnext?

Tide Chandelier

Description
Stuart Haygarth's chandelier is made from debris collected along the Kent coastline over a number of years. The pieces that make up the chandelier are mostly plastic so he's performed an environmental service by removing it from the shore. The sphere shape is meant to represent the moon, which affects the tides, which washes up the debris. Clever eh? And beautiful. (via sfgirlbybay)

Guerlain Vol de Nuit Perfume

Description
Is it so very wrong to love a perfume purely for the design of the bottle? I honestly can't remember what it smells like; it was one of those test every perfume in the shop, leave smelling like a whorehouse occasions. The Guerlain website says it's oriental and woody. I want to place the bottle on my imaginary dressing table and admire it while sitting on a pink velvet stool brushing my hair wearing a 1930s silk nightgown. Oh - and the perfume was inspired by the Antoine de Saint-Exupery book of the same name. So romantic.

During that long, hot summer you get sick of brights, agh too much colour everywhere. Except if you have a summer that only lasts a week. In that case, you'd be forgiven for wearing all the colours at the same time in a crazy cute colour pop bikini, surely... I need it, quick before the weather turns again...

I bought this after looking at it for about half a second. This piece of art is only $13. That's like SIX British pounds. The cute little girl with an edge - always gets me. (via Inside a Black Apple)

Saw it somewhere or other. Loved the colours, the type and the humour of it. Kept umming and ahhing about it because the international price is now $50 including shipment from the U.S (up from $10). It kept calling to me so I just, like, bought it.

It's genius.
I wish I'd thought of doing it first.
I'm addicted to it.
So you don't want to see your favourite bands strolling around in the street playing their songs and acting like humans. OK weirdo.
