Prada Bag

Description
i own several Prada bags and they are extremely well-made and last forever. They may be expensive but you can find them off-season for less money as well, so don't forget that. Prada - perhaps the devil wears it (i should know, i worked there) but she didn't anyway (it was Chanel, so artistic license and all that i understand), but don't let that sully the name for you... Prada is a great and classic brand -not for the devil. (via prada)

Lucia Suede Ballet Flats

Description
i almost always wear Audrey Hepburn-type ballet flats because on me they are the most flattering and these by J. Crew are absolutely gorgeous (and i own many pair), so these are worthwhile, i think.

penhaligon, blenheim bouquet

Description
there is no better cologne or perfume than Penhaligons - they are the best in the world. Alas, you can't order on the internet, but you can mail order by calling one of their shops. THere is one on Madison and 71st in New York City that delivers second or next day and they are GREAT and very generous with samples, so simply ask. I highly recommend the Blenheim Bouquet for both men and women - it's beautiful on both. Another is Castile which is divine..... all of their fragrances are subtle, unique and don't smell like "ordinary" perfume or cologne. Try it. i promise you won't be disappointed. (via penhaligon)

Nuit De Noel Par Caron Classic Fragrance
First to recommend
Description
Penhaligon is terrific and i've recommended it, but Nuit de Noel i have worn for many, many years and it is not worn by anyone i know. It's an old, old fragrance - one of the oldest - and so is classic and subtle and dare i say, sublime. I can tell you that whenver i wear this fragrance, if a man is sitting next to me (because it does not shout, it is a quiet scent, like incense ....) he has almost always leaned in and asked me what perfume i am wearing. That is quite unusual. I'd say it's rather a hit. That's not why i wear it - i wear it for me, but it's an incensey smell - think rosinous and mossy and mysterious but not too dark and something sacred and you've got it. It's hard to recommend perfumes, but this one is a keeper, and i can't believe i am actually telling my secret in public right now. damn damn... (via fragrance.net)

Capezio Classic T Strap Ballroom Shoe
First to recommend
Description
i have these and i dance (a wicked) tango and these shoes really make a difference because they help with the step and you don't slip, but they have enough give that you can be pulled when necessary in the dance.... also, the style is perfect.... you don't find t-strap shoes very often. If you just want a pair of t-strap shoes for fashion, you can get the bottoms changed on these to street shoes, which i have done also... (via all about dance)

Capezio Asymmetrical Short Ruffle Ballroom Skirt
First to recommend
Description
this is the perfect skirt for the tango because it has the flexibility for the side-slit which you need to make the right turns and twists, etc and the fabric is of good stretch. i also like it as an every day skirt - you can wear it with a simple leotard and it looks really stylish, dare i say even sexy without being over the top - it's subtle.... not hoochie koochie... dawn has been my perfumer for as long as i can remember. it sounds like a luxury and it is but it's a worthwhile one. Yes, i buy my perfume, but she is able to recreate the essence of that perfume in oil form (exactly match it, and i mean EXACTLY match it) so that i can wear the ol and it lasts and lasts and lasts - it may cost more, but it lasts for about two years fora bottle because you use only a few drops with each use. Make no mistake, Dawn Spencer Hurwitz is the best perfumer in the business.
