About this list:
I have absolutely no musical talent at all. Can't play any instruments, and I can't even remotely sing. But, I love music & I am constantly listening to music. I'm always on the look out for new bands/singers/songwriters. And I'm open to listening to just about any genre of music out there.

The Pink Spiders - Teenage Graffiti CD
First to recommend
Description
I spent year searching for a band that was influenced by The Beatles, Marvin Gaye, The Clash and The Bay City Rollers. Just when I thought my search would end in futility, The Pink Spiders entered my life. This is honestly my favorite cd in my collection. It's gritty & raw...unpolished, even. Great blend of punk, old school rock & roll, and more.

I have to thank the tv show "Scrubs" for this discovery. The show was playing a song in the background, I googled a line from the lyrics, and I had stumbled upon my newest favorite singer-songwriter. By the way, the song was "Have It All", which is on this cd.

Devil Doll - The Return Of Eve CD

Description
This is a great cd. A slight country slant, but with plenty of songs that rock. Don't worry guys, this is not just bunch of "chick songs". There are plenty of gritty songs, like her cover of "Doreen", to keep you from losing your man card. Besides, her voice is so incredibly sexy, that she will have you hooked immediately.

The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus - Don't You Fake It

Description
Great pop-punk sound & feel. They are able to seemlessly go from louder/harder songs, like "In Fate's Hands" to softer songs, like "Your Guardian Angel". "Face Down" is my favorite song on the cd. It's not on the cd, but I have heard an acoustic version of "Face Down", and it was great. Definitely one of my favorite bands out there right now.

Icky Thump - The White Stripes

Description
It may not be as hard as some of their other releases, but this may be my favorite White Stripes release. The diversity in the songs is very cool. Rock, country, blues, Celtic and Mariachi all on the same cd. Plus, you can't beat Jack White covering a Patti Page song. My daughter loves the song "Rag & Bone", which is essentially about the joys of garage sales. The White Stripes are just badass, so you can't go wrong with anything they put out.

Kid Rock - Rock N Roll Jesus CD
First to recommend
Description
This cd encompasses all of Kid Rock's musical influences. A great blend of classic rock, metal, rap & country. My favorite track is "All Summer Long", brings a feeling of total nostalgia. Songs like "So Hott" and "Sugar", blend metal & rap and are a little bit heavier. "Half Your Age" is a straight up country song. Which would normally cause me to jam spikes into my ears...repeatedly. But, for any of us guys who have been emotionally kicked in the crotch by a woman, this song is a great anthem.

Yes, she's a big ol' barrell of crazy. Yes, she's a complete mess. But she is also super talented. I love her voice and this cd.
