Black Bird on Tree Branch Cup and Saucer from Bailey Doesn't Bark
First to recommend
Description
These guys make the most fun pieces. There's always a bit of interactivity or a bit of a wink in their pieces. In this one, the saucer and the cup become one illustration. Lift the cup, and reveal another bird!

I like tea as much as the next guy but you have to REALLY like tea to purchase this teapot...that or an uber-design fan. This version will run you $250 without tea. You can get a "cheaper" version for $50 less but if you're going to buy something like this, you might as well go whole hog.

This is too funny. They look like really nice, classy dinner plates, but upon closer inspection, that beautiful script has one of the deadly sins, or contrary virtues. Abstinence against Gluttony, Humility against Pride, Kindness against Envy, Chastity against Lust, Temperance against Anger, Charity against Greed, Diligence against Sloth.

Oh retro, how I love you. There's something mildly bowl-a-drome about the diamond pattern, but I just love it. And the shape is great. They're totally unique and fun.

I am in love with these whimsical line drawings. It's like an explosion of tea from the edge of your cup! It's fanciful and fun, adding a bit of pizazz to your tea drinking experience.

Corelle Sketch Dinnerware Set

Description
So I moved into a new place and was looking for a dinner set that wouldn't break the bank, but that would fit my sensibilities. So many of the sets out there are kitschy or have patterns that are just far too much for my modern sensibilities. I had just about resigned myself to getting plain white and buying accent pieces as I could when I found this. It's nice and basic, but has a little bit of character. Black and white, so it means I can still jazz it up with splashes of color, but it doesn't limit my palate. Good score.

Pebble Cups from Kim Westad

Description
I love the slightly whimsical look of these cups. I thought they were cool when I thought the white was simply apinted on, but after learning that they're raised dots applied to the cups after glazing, I love them even more. There's a cool tactile-ness to them that sets them apart from other pretty pastel glazed cups. They'd look nice serving tea, but even better holding a few flowers. They feel very Spring to me, and I could use a good dose of that right now!

Whirl Bowl with Pebble Slip Design from Kim Westad

Description
What a unique piece. The spiral design alone sets this bowl apart and makes it a great addition to any kitchen. It'd be great as a centerpiece, but the fact that it's foodsafe means that you simply can't pass it up. I really like the pebble accents as well. Even with a simple white, unglazed finish, it will stand out. I can't wait for them to be back in stock. I need one (or four) of these!

Roost: Urchin Salt & Pepper Shaker Set

Description
I have a strange obsession with sea urchins. I like really odd animals, and sea urchins are in my top 5 bizarre creatures. They're really cool and spiky. And they look just as cool without their barbed accoutrement's. Here, a porcelain replica of a sea urchin serves as a pair of nifty salt and pepper shakers.

No. Seriously. It's a serving tray with a painting of a hummingbird as a duke. I am not making this up. It's so odd, and yet, I really want one.
