If there was any question, Bonnaroo has proven itself has the premiere music festival. I was so excited about the lineup, that i decided to go ahead and make a list for you guys. Hopefully, it'll encourage some of you to suck it up and go. For the others, I think it should serve as a fun reference point to good, yet eclectic music. These are my favorite albums from my favorite musicians heading to Manchester Tennessee this summer.

For me, I think I'd rather just stick to the best of. Sure, I'm all about The Boss, However, since no record stands alone, I'll go with the Greatest Hits. Everyone can get down to 18 of his most popular songs.

Hampton Comes Alive: Phish

Description

Without question, the best Phish album of all time. The set consist of 6 discs that cover two full concerts. The shows were recorded in '98 and the set was released the following here.

Not to mention, the title is a hilarious pun on the Peter Frampton album.

A Live One: Phish

Description

A band like Phish is better live than on a studio album, right. We're not talking quantum physics here, it's true. This '95 release is a double disc with 12 classic songs and all the jam bandy-ness you could ever hope for.

I don't remember exactly, but this album is probably the one that really got me into the trio. On it, you'll find one of my favorite Beastie Boys tracks ever, Brass Monkey.

I like to think of this as one of the Beastie Boys album where they're ,well, still The Beastie Boys (at least in my eyes). It's that classic rock/rap style and a helluva good time.

Sky Blue Sky: Wilco

Description

I've been a long time of Jeff Tweedy and Wilco, in general. When their most recent album came out I was skeptical to say the least. However, I was quickly caught up in the new sound.

The highlights come with "Hate it Here" and "Walken."

Description

I like almost all Wilco or anything involving Jeff Tweedy. For me though, this one seems to stand out. I think it's "Jesus, etc," but really it's every mind-blowingly amazing tune on the whole record.

In 1972, at the uprising of Al Green's career, we got this album. Though the gospel/soul singer has endless songs that I can get behind, Let's Stay Together remains my favorite of his.
