While I was preggers with little dude, we decided that we want to go with cloth diapers. Good for the earth, and soft for his tushie. Well once I had him reality set in. The hubs loved cloth diapers, me on the other hand could barely get them on the lil guy at 2:00 a.m. when I was half asleep. First you have to fold the diaper, then you have to use the little clippies to get it on just right. Then after all that you have to put the plastic pants over the top. The poor lil guy always looked like he had a huge load in his pants.
I very soon discovered Earth Baby Compostable Diaper service! Let me tell you if you are local to the SF Bay Area, this service is amazing! You use Nature Babycare Compostable diapers, which you can purchase from Earth Baby or elsewhere. They also make compostable wipes. You purchase compostable bags for the diaper pale, then the diapers and wipes both go into the pale. Earth Baby comes 1x per week and picks up the bag. For $27.00 a month for the service (note this fee is just for the service, you still need to purchase diapers and wipes), I feel like I am doing something great for the environment. They have a treatment plant so I know they are getting composted properly. They also have amazing customer service. If you are looking for a good alternative to cloth diapering, look no further!

WOW! This is the coolest thing for baby I have ever seen. It is manufactured in France and is finally coming to the US. It is a steamer, blender, defroster and re-heater to make fresh food for your baby all in one unit. I really want to instill healthy eating in my son once he arrives. Once he starts on solid food I was planning on buying a food mill (I personally believe that fresh food is going to be more healthy for him and give him more vitamins, etc. vs. jarred). With this gizmo giving baby fresh and healthy food is easier than ever!

What a concept. Take a real nightclub for the afternoon, baby proof it and open it up to mommies, daddies and their wee ones (6 months - 7 years old)! Super duper fun. You won't find any baby music here. They play real music from the 70's and 80's. I love music and to dance so it is no surprise that my little dude does too! Baby Loves Disco is just the most fun thing ever to do with your little one. Fun for the entire family!
