Veruca Salt: I want it now - a list by FancyPants

About this list:
I'm often chastised for being the Veruca of my family... I have a tendency to over-spend, over-want, and over-whine about it... Here is a collection of things that I spy online for ThisNext that I also Truly-Madly-Deeply want to take home for myself. Enjoy. PS- Veruca Salt is the whiny-assed girl in "Willy Wonka"-- you know, "I wan't it nowwww"
Qualifications:

I feel like I have a good grasp on men... I've dated about a million of them. And if there is one thing I've learned- men like: gadgets, good pens, sex and sports (not necessarily in that order)...
These pens are crafted from wood from the seats at some of the best (read: oldest) stadiums in the MLB. Fenway (Red Sox), Wrigley (Cubs), Yankee (obvious, boo!), etc...
Being a little nutty over baseball myself I of course want a Fenway, but would also appreciate a Wrigley.

Riiiiight.... cause THIS won't start an argument.
"Who has the fattest ass?"...
Actually, I love these little cards they are perfect for when me and the boyfriend take 10 hour road trips to see his parents (90% has no cell signal or radio frequency)...
Last time we actually played a humming version of "name that tune"-- he did Billy Joel "Piano Man"...

Unisex Wellies Hunter Rubber Boots

Description
These handsome rain boots are rom the 'original' maker of rubber boots, Wellingtton, aka Wellies. I am fond of Wellies, but with the new cheap imitation at $20, it's hard to cough up $98 but the real thing. Well, it would be easy if I didn't require so many boots. I go through them like nobody's business (dogs chew on them, yard work, etc.).
These are for men and women, though when it comes to unisex sizing, it mostly fits men. I would raise an eyebrow if I saw a guy wearing these. In a good way.

I love these. Instead of the stodgy silver card cases these are fun and Pulp Fiction-y.
These are great for anyone that is not yet used to being called Mr. or Ms. at the office(weirds me out!!!)

Instead of going through the trouble of writing "remember other office keys" on a piece of paper and attaching it to the door - after searching for a piece of paper, a pen, and the tape - you would simply place the keys in this.
Just pray that the next note you'd find yourself writing isn't "remember to check the Doorganizer". Got to love the name. (via Lifehacker)

True Story.
As I was baking Christmas cookies for my family (from scratch, natch) I decided to press little Jack's foot into a piece of dough for a keepsake. I secluded it from the actual cookies for consumption in a piece of foil...
Fast forward 24 hours as I am sitting at the table doing a Sudoku I watch in horror as my Dad polishes off the last of Jack's paw print... mud, pup hair and all...
This would have been a better idea...

Damask Carrybag from Design 3000

Description
One of my New Year's Resolutions (besides the obligatory working out, eating right) is to avoid using plastic bags for my purchases. The amount of plastic bags that come into my home is staggering. Granted I reuse 100% of them for poo patrol, lining trash cans and padding boots and bags- I am resolving to use less and to continue recycling the ones that I have.
I have all of my Whole Foods fabric bags, an Anya Hindmarch (have you heard of it??), and now I want this one. It's perfect for when I need to buy fresh produce and don't want it to get buried at the bottom of a canvas bag.

Fancy makes some really unusual, funny and cute sterling silver products. I especially like this 'unwedding ring'. Great gift for the newly divorced, the 'living in sin' couple or the perpetually single. Not only funny, but it looks good! (via fancyjewels.com)
