Skin by Marisol Rodriguez for Bogota Factory

Description
... or happiness showing through your clothes!
Marisol Rodriguez conceived a design that would last throughout a woman’s pregnancy, minimizing what a mother-to-be would need to buy for herself.
There are three different two-tone dress styles in the collection, with either vertical or horizontal pleating. In every case the brighter of the two colors is the one revealed as the wearer’s belly expands.
As she was particularly troubled by high unemployment among women who are in their 50s, she and her mother created Bogota Factory to produce several items locally. Rodríguez’s Skin maternity line is one of Bogota Factory’s first offerings that unfortunatelly it's not yet available overseas or on the internet...!! (via contact Marisol)

Description
By Greetje van Tiem, a graduate from Design Academy Eindhoven. >>> She says that it is possible to transpose yesterday’s news into tangible memories.
As part of a school assignment, van Tiem completed a project that turns newspapers into yarn that can be spun tighter and woven into something like a mat to be nearly as durable and functional.
Twenty yards of yarn can be made from each sheet of newspaper. (via swissmiss)
