This company specialises in producing lip care products, using lanolin as the basis, as well as massage oil candles (more on that later). Their line of products include lip balms, all-natural lip scrub, lip plumper (which functions like the DuWop Lip Venom and Fusion's LipFusion) and of course the lip gloss (more on that later). I have tried all their products and I love their unscented lip scrub and lip balm (though this is not for those who like oil-based lip balms and wax-based lip balms) though they have scented products as well. My least favourite is the lip plumper but that's more to do with my allergy to lip plumpers than any fault of the product itself. However, this company specialises in really novel items: a lip gloss bracelet (though it resembles a bangle more). Their lip gloss isn't sold 'separately' as such (you can buy refills) and is actually designed to fit into a bracelet and are concealed. My only quibble is that I don't like the colours they have at the moment and that I am not much of a gloss user but it'd make a great present. Their other distinctive item are their massage oil candles, named LanoLights, which are candles you burn and when the candles become liquid, you can use it as a massage oil. I am not fond of massage oils but my mother is and she really likes them. They also make great gifts. While the products on the whole are on the reasonable scale, the bracelet is quite steep at initially $79 (now it's $49) but it would still make a great gift. The products are must-try and the bracelet is a must-buy if you are in the market for presents.

The Bookmark Shop

This was something else I accidentally stumbled upon. I am not fond of paper bookmarks or those clip bookmarks since the former withers away and the latter leaves dent in the pages. This company makes charm bookmarks (my favourites are the letter charms) and they have such an incredible variety. They make great presents as well and they have extended their range into notebooks, pens and paperweights. Fantastic for anyone who is an avid reader or likes stationery. The price range is in the medium band and to be fair, all the products are an indulgence but that's half the fun.

I cannot get over how amazing their jewellery is. It is entirely based on Indian designs and Asian designs and they have done such an incredible job of fusion of Western sensibilities with Indian designs -- without going overboard. You can personalise their already in-production products (colours, crystals and metals) and they also are willing to work with any bespoke designs you may have. For what the products are, they are reasonably priced but this is not something you can buy on impulse, which is good otherwise I'd be even more poor. Just take into account that they are England-based but they are accomodating so you should give them a call if you are interested.

PS. You really should see their hair pieces -- while short-haired ones such as myself have little use for it, those of you with long hair might find them functional and beautiful!
