Storage Locker with Wheels
First to recommend
Description
Everyone needs a good trunk (with a lock) to stick under their bed to keep greedy roommates out of your prized possessions... or just to keep certain things (like old textbooks, and used notebooks from previous semesters) out of the way.
This is the trunk I got freshman year- it's great because it has wheels. It got really, really heavy within the course of 4 years and they came in handy when I needed to move it across the room or into storage for the summer.

Stainless Steel Stacking Shelves

Description
You might not have a full kitchen in your dorm room or suite but you'll always need a couple of dishes around for when you don't feel like going to the cafeteria and the microwave is looking like your best friend. Space is always limited. Get one of these stacking shelves for your dishes and keep them in a place like the top shelf of your closet (if it's big enough).

Large Tint Stacking Drawer

Description
These are great for clothes and socks but I used two of these to keep my hair products, hair appliances, feminine products, empty grocery bags, and any other random thing you could think for the year I had to use the dreaded communal bathrooms.
When I moved to a small closet sized room in a house I broke them into halves and used one as a sock drawer. These are really cute because they're tinted but it's even better if you can get them with wheels.

3M Wall Hooks with Command Adhesive
First to recommend
Description
One thing I needed to have every year was a set of wall hooks. I found that the best brand to use was 3M. They come off the easiest (when you take them off right) and that's super important when you're dealing with super cheap wall paint. They come in several sizes. I've used the smaller ones for holding kitchen and bath towels, and the huge ones for holding lots of empty purses and bags

Texas Instruments TI-84 Plus Silver Edition Graphing Calculator Blaze Orange
First to recommend
Description
Unfortunately, required math classes don't stop at high school. I had to use my ti-83 for two semesters of algebra and two semesters of statistics. This newer edition graphing calculator is much better than my old calculator. It does everything the ti83 plus does but it has 9 times more memory, the periodic table (something I don't remember mine having), and best of all- it's not in a boring black color. The silver edition comes in light blue, orange, and hot pink.

Description
These are great for your bath towels. If your closet is one of those sliding double door closets I found that these fit really well over those. It's in a more convenient place and you don't have to worry about your roommate touching your towel if it's not on of the common doors.

Mini Magnetic Strip
First to recommend
Description
A great way to keep from getting homesick. I used to stick family pictures, tickets to school events, and party fliers on my walls. These are a really cute way to display them. Lots of different colors to choose from. To avoid damaging the walls (too much) skip using the hardware and use thumb tacks instead.
