Influence: Mary Kate Olsen, Ashley Olsen

Description
I should have recommended this a long time ago. I'm not a huge of the Olsen twins but this book is amazing. The interviews are inspirational. The photos are amazing and I think I have more in common with Ashley Olsen than I ever realised. It's worth buying!

Mother Warriors: A Nation of Parents Healing Autism Against All Odds

Description
Whether or not you agree with Jenny McCarthy's stance on autism. You have to admit that this disease needs to be taken seriously. In her new book she looks at how other parents across America are dealing with autism and sharing more of her own struggle with her son.
This a great book if you are dealing with an autistic child and need a little hope.

The Rise and Fall of a Yummy Mummy by Polly Williams

Description
This book came out a while ago but I just read it and I loved it from the first few pages. It's totally hilarious! Everyone will totally relate to the fears of motherhood and all the not so nice things that come along with it (stretch marks!). But more importantly being a "yummy mummy" may not be what you expected.

Half of a Yellow Sun - Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

Description
It's amazing how you can just stumble across the most amazing book! Half Of A Yellow Sun is a really really good read. I couldn't put it down. I wished it was a longer. The portrayal of middle class Nigeria during the civil war of the 1960s was great. Unfortunately it also shows how little Nigeria has changed in 40 years.

The Big Bento Box of Unuseless Japanese Inventions (101 Unuseless Japanese Inventions and 99 More Unuseless Japanese Inventions)

Description
This book is filled with about 200 of the best almost useless Japanese inventions and they are pretty ridiculous. Inventions include "the Drymobile (your laundry dries as you drive), the Solar-Powered Torch (never runs low on batteries), Duster Slippers for Cats (now the most boring job around the house becomes hours of fun...for your cat!), Walk 'n' Wash Ankle-attachable Laundry Tanks (a perfect solution for the problems of inadequate exercise and hygiene), and many, many more."

Everyone Worth Knowing

Description
"Everyone Worth Knowing" is the second novel by Lauren Weisberger, the genius behind "The Devil Wears Prada". Although this book isn't as good as her debut novel, "Everyone Worth Knowing" is still a good read. Especially if you're in a mood to read something fun and fashionable.

The Shining by Stephen King

Description
This is the only Stephen King book I've ever read and it is scary as hell! It was absolutely perfect! I love anything that's scary and this book just terrified me but I couldn't put it down. It's brilliant and now I know why everyone loves Stephen King so much. He's genius!

Memoirs of a Geisha
First to recommend
Description
I've read this book several times and it never gets boring. The story just grabs you from the beginning and you can't help but fall in love with the protagonist, Sayuri. The life of a geisha seems so interesting that you almost wish that you could have been alive in that time period.
This is a definite must-read...forget the movie!!

Galilee by Clive Barker
First to recommend
Description
I had never heard of Clive Barker until I read this book and I love it! Galilee is truly a good book. It's kinda long and the style of writing may not appeal to everyone but that doesn't take away anything from the story at all. It's dark and sexy and worth reading.
