Sure, it's a classic story. Many of you might even call it a classic film. Me, I say it's just another example of why Bill Murray is the funniest person alive

It's a classic Bill Murray performance. This comedy/drama is the story fo a weatherman who is forced to live the same quirky day over and over again. It's no surprise the Bill Murray is the entire film.

The 4th film by Wes Anderson. I'll be honest, it's certainly not my favorite. However, it might be the most interesting/ ridiculous. Certainly worth checking out and definitely worth owning the criterion collection if you're an Anderson fan.

You will laugh at this film, I can almost guarantee you that. This ridiculous comedy by the Farrelly Brothers tells the story of dysfunctional bowlers.

Caddyshack - 20th Anniversary Edition

Description

Quite possibly one of the most notorious low-brow comedies ever. It's boast the always memorable line-up and a ridiculous "golf" plot. Frankly, the film is daunting to me because my roommate made me watch it consistently in college. however, i have no doubt that it will always have a place in my heart.

Lost in Translation (2003)

The film is so great that it needs about half the dialogue as a normal feature. Breathtaking beautiful and charm paralleled by few others. Leave it to a Coppola to make a movie this great.

In my book, this will always go down as one of the all time classics. Completely hilarious and will be enjoyed generation after generation

The ensemble cast in Wes Anderson's third film is beyond spectacular. It's truly amazing how such a wide range of actors can come together and be equally quirky and believable. Everyone should see this at least once. As it is part of The Criterion Collection, it's got lots of extras.

Rushmore: Wes Anderson (The Criterion Collection)

4 people recommended this item

Description

One of my favourite movies of all time. It's startingly excellent in many ways - the writing, the look, the performances and the soundtrack.

Wes Anderson is simply put, a genius. To be able to defy so many traditional film conventions and still create something riveting and entertaining is remarkable. That actor and tabloid favourite Owen Wilson co-wrote Rushmore and a number of other excellent scripts almost forgives him for movies like Fool's Gold.

This tale of a precocious teen named Max Fischer (Jason Schwartzman) who befriends his lovely first-grade teacher (Olivia Williams) and a wealthy man getting lost in middle age (Bill Murray) is funny, original and touching. You can't help but like these characters as dark and deeply flawed as they are.

And the soundtrack is brilliant.

Description

It's becoming increasingly obvious to me that the early 90's were a memorable time in film for me. Maybe because of my age and that i was shoved in front of a television for hours on end or maybe there just really are some great films. Either way, this is one worth remembering.
