Concerto Major Sink
First to recommend
Description
This isn't the most practical sink I've ever seen, after all the bowl is upside down, but it does have a hidden benefit. The Concerto Major sink's bowl is upside down. The benefit of this is that when the water hits the hammered copper dome it creates a waterfall with gentle sound effects. The sink has a very natural feel with the combination of mesquite hardwood and copper. It would work well in a spa bathroom for a very zen retreat.

Valentino Book

Description
The glamorous life and work of Valentino Garavani
Think Valentino: think luxury. Think elegance. Think red carpet. Fashion’s most beloved upholder of refined decadence and the most exciting couturier in business is known around the globe simply by his first name. Only a few years after opening his fashion house in Rome in 1959, Valentino was already at the height of success, counting Elizabeth Taylor, Jackie Kennedy, and Audrey Hepburn among his devotees. Over forty years later, not much has changed—he’s still dressing the top celebrities, from Gwyneth Paltrow to J.Lo, though now his business is a major economic force in Italy and his fashion house is among the most famous in the world. Valentino has always designed clothes for glamorous and sophisticated women, never wavering from his signature style even when grunge, deconstruction, and other passing fads were all the rage. Though his couture division almost never makes a profit (his ready-to-wear lines are what fuel the business), his heart is most solidly devoted to the magnificent haute couture gowns that earned him his reputation as fashion’s most talented dressmaker.
his luxurious limited-edition publication renders homage to Valentino’s illustrious career via a copious selection of images from his archives, including drawings, magazine shoots, advertisements, portraits of Valentino, and documentary photographs.

Nilufer Tarzi Kuran Rings

Description
When I saw the rings of Nilufer Tarzi Kuran on the Vivre website I was curious to learn more about the designer. Her rings with evocative names like Turban of the Sultan, Mysteries of the Palace and Lovers of the Harem feature precious stones set in silver and decorated with 18K gold-plated silver details. The designer lives in Istanbul and is the daughter of an Afghani father and a Turkish mother. The Tarzi family has been one of the ruling families of Afghanistan and she was inspired by the jewels of her late great aunt Queen Sorayah of Afghanistan.

Description
Author, songwriter and former candidate for Texas governor Kinky Friedman is famous for his cowboy hat, his sense of humor and his cigars. He is now turning his love of cigars into a business with Kinky Friedman Cigars. The Honduran cigars are available in five styles with witty names: the Kinkycristo, the Governor, Willie, Utopian and Texas Jewboy. They are working on more lines including one called the Clinton. Friedman is a serious cigar smoker, an article in the San Antonio Express-News has him quoted as saying he smokes seven to 10 cigars a day. Profits from the Utopian cigar, which sell for $130 a box benefit Kinky's Utopia Animal Rescue Ranch. Kinky's priciest cigar is The Governor, a Toro Gordo, 5 3/4 in. x 60 ring gauge which is a medium bodied cigar and sells for $200 a box.

Pennoyer Newman - Parthenon Plaque Container
First to recommend
Description
If your garden needs a posh makeover the pricey pots of Pennoyer Newman are an excellent place to start. The small company specializes in garden pots, birdbaths, statues and pedestals cast in resin stone and based on antique designs. The designs are all weather resistant. One of my favorites is this Parthenon plaque container. The designs are copies of a frieze on the west side of the Parthenon and were made before the practice of taking impressions of the building was banned. This pot measures 20"H X 26"W X 26"D and sells for $750.
