About this list:
I've done my fair share of traveling the last six years and enjoyed and now miss the regional food that you can't always get in LA. Well, now we can fix that problem. The LA Times just had a bunch of airport food shipped to them and these are their recommendations (as well as a few additional ones from me)

Eli's Cheesecake

Description
I have a love hate relatonship with Chicago. I love the food, I hate O'Hare international. Whenever I'm in the windy city, I make sure to stop by Eli's bakery for a slice of creamy smooth cheesecake. (via LA Times)

The Salt Lick BBQ

Description
Representing Austin TX we have the Salt Lick. You can pick up some bbq at the airport for your trip home or you can visit their website and purchase a meal to have overnighted to you. The family dinner for example comes with: Thurman's Beef Brisket, one rack of his delicious Ribs, and great Hill Country Sausage, including a bottle of Secret Recipe Salt Lick BBQ Sauce. When I lived in Massachusetts, I'd be sure to visit Legal Seafoods whenever I had an opportunity. Everything there is top notch and now you can have that same experience wherever you are.

Cincinnati rocks! Well, most definitely Skyline Chili. The cinnamon in the seasoning adds a distinctive flavor to their chili and they use small chunks of beef instead of ground beef, making for some good hearty comfort food. (via LA Times)
