White Home - a list by Kristine

About this list:
Completely impractical and impossible to keep clean, but I crave the beauty of white things. Maybe one day, when my two giant dogs aren't so keen on playing in the dirt any longer...

white square porcelain dinnerware

Description
I love Japanese design, in all shapes and form. There's something so Zen with everything they do. They're also great at organizing for small spaces. Love these stackable dishes.

Hah! Even cold, modern design falls prey to cuddling!

saarinen white coffee table

Description
This would look fabulous with my current living room situation... Everything is a bit low to the ground and a bit young looking. The fact it's a classic design let's me get away with the youthful style. I like the plastic versions the best. The low coffee table is also my favorite of all silhouettes.

Petrified Wood Fossil Table

Description
A boy gave me a rock once... It was a beauty. A petrified wood fossil, actually, which he claimed was worth a lot of money. Another friend responded, "For woodpeckers..."
I couldn't help it but think of this story when I saw this petrified wood table. It is actually lovely, and not quite the value of diamonds, it's still a million years old and valuable, though not necessarily monetary. I love the use of it as furniture. I think that boy had a vision but the wrong idea. :-)

Chinese Garden Stools

Description
These ceramic stools would work great inside as small side tables as well. I like how simple and elegant they are.

sofa bed

Description
Okay, it's not the newest style or the most original, but it's probably the most functional and the least expensive "stylish" option I have for a sofa bed. I've gone through so much furniture in my house (ruined by one reason or another) that I'm now opting for more "value for your money" options. Mom is very proud, by the way.

Holy cow, these are on sale for cheap! From $100 to $20!!! I have ones for coffee and tea, and I am soooo tempted to add to my collection with these. Love the white canisters. Goes with my boring white dishes, but in a good way.

Bose iPod Portable Docking Station

Description
Finally, and damn it! I own the docking station from three years ago, when they first introduced it. I LOVE it, and so do all my friends, including my DJ friends. Impressive sound from a single speaker unit that is pretty minimal in design.
What I'm not happy about is mine does not come cordless. What I'm psyched about is the new model has a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, and a handle (important). So one can now tote this to the beach if needed, which I needed and will need.
I think I have to swallow paying for the old model and upgrade to the new. I don't think I have a choice, do I?

The Katia Clock

Description
I'm into all things white and some things green, and I'm definitely into minimalism (though I'm starting to stray a little, which is a good thing). This clock has all the perfect characteristics for my future decor (moving and redecorating). Yay.
