Dr. Miracle's Tingling 2 in 1 Dandruff Shampoo & Conditioner
First to recommend
Description
During this time of year, as the weather turns colder and drier, so does my scalp. My friend and hair stylist says that I don't have true dandruff, but dry and itchy sclp. Apparently the difference is the size of the flakes. Large and scaly - dandruff. Small and dispursed throughout the hair and scalp - dry scalp. Anyway, I thought that I would give this product a try given the brand's great reputation and the item's very resonable price.
It gets your hair and scalp uber-clean and rids your hair of those embarrasing little flakes. Not to mention the wonderful tingle that the peppermint and clove oil leave on your scalp as you are shampooing and for a period afterward. My hairstylist says that this product is s keeper, and she is usually much opposed to 2 in 1 shampoos. (via drmiracles.com)

Mizani Butter Blend Sensitive Scalp Rhelaxer
First to recommend
Description
This product is wonderful! It smooths out my kinky hair without damaging it, yet is gentle enough not to be harsh on my scalp. It also doesn't have the stink of most relaxers, but a lush fragrant scent.
One thing though, this is still a chemical, so I have a friend that's a licensed hair stylist apply it. I've ruined my hair before trying to apply chemicals on my own. If you have the knack of being able to do it yourself, go ahead. However, if you've never done it before or have have bad experiences in the past, have a professional do it for you.
Calcium Hydroxide formula with Arginine, a fortifying amino acid with high affinity to hair. Signature Butter Blend of shea butter, cocoa butter and honey provide moisturizing emollients for hair. Polyquaternium-16 adds superior conditioning, lubricity and a soft silky feel. (via mizani-usa.com)

Cetaphil Gentle Cleansing Antibacterial Bar
2 people recommended this item
Description
Using this product is an easy way to keep fresh if you have sensitive skin. It will also gently clear up any acne that you have on your body. If that's not a concern of yours, this bar is non-comedegenic. Especially, on your upper arms and back. If you have dry and sensitive skin, an annoying combination, this bar moisturizes. Not deeply, but it won't over dry like an antibacterial soap normally will. I was pleased and surprised by this product.

Zoya Nail Polish: Casey

Description
I adore this deep, dark color! Best of all unlike most nail polishes it contains none of the toxic chemicals (i.e., di-butyl pathalate, toluene, formaldehyde) that you usually absorb right through your nails.

Mederma
First to recommend
Description
Mederma is the first topical gel created to help reduce the appearance of old and new scars. It is made from a patented botanical extract to form a greaseless gel that is affordable, easy to use, and most importantly, effective. I've been using it on some hyper-pigmentations (dark mark) left over from breakouts on my face. The marks have actually been fading. Because Mederma is a gel and not oil-based, it doesn't cause any breakouts. It also contains Aloe Vera, which is a healing botanical. It also contains Cepalin. A proprietary botanical extract that works to soften hardened scar tissue and improve the color, texture and overall appearance of scars. (via dermadoctor.com)

Chanel Black Satin Nail Polish

Description
Did you know that historically women of the lower classes had to paint their nails in pale shades while only ladies of royal blood were allowed to wear black nail polish? I don't know about you, but that's all the reason I need!

Obviously, the best choice is to go with Prescriptives' Custom Blend Concealer, but not all of us have the funds, nor the time to actually go into the store to get it. The Site Unseen Brightening Concealer is the next best thing. (via InStyle Magazine)

Preserve Toothbrush - Recycline, Inc.
10 people recommended this item
Description
I'm not generally impressed by toothbrushes. Who would be? They either work for me or they don't. However, I decided to deviate from the usual this time when picking up a new one. I chose the Preserve toothbrush from Recycline, Inc. It even looks stylish! (They had one in black!) Generally, the angle on the handle is just adequate, not ideal. The angle on this handle is just right. I was amazed. A 45 degree angle. The bristles are soft and didn't have to be "broken in". They didn't irritate my gums, and weren't too soft to be ineffective for cleaning. In fact, it's more effective than the Oral B I was using previously. The other big plus is that the product is extremely environmentally friendly. The handles are made from 100% recycled plastic, including Stonyfield Farm® yogurt cups. The packaging is a reusable travel case with ventilation holes. When it is time to replace your toothbrush (dentists recommend switching it every three months) send the toothbrush and case back to Preserve using their postage-paid label to be re-processed into plastic lumber for picnic tables, boardwalks and decks. Now that's an impressive toothbrush. (via http://www.recycline.com)
