Polly George Ceramics Mr. & Mrs. Jones Juicers

First to recommend

Description

Oh, Polly George, where were your Mr. and Mrs. Jones Juicers when I needed them?! Just last night (no joke), I was attempting to make a traditional margarita but my limes were hard as rocks. I microwaved the little citrus wonders for a few seconds to try and get the juices flowing, but alas my hands still didn’t have the power to squeeze the liquids out. I resorted to attacking the limes with a spoon, but it was a mess. All the while my guy friend said, “You know, you really need a juicer.” No kidding! And, now what do we have on our site but the most amazing juicers I have ever seen. By golly, Polly George…I dig ‘em. (via design public)

three sheets 2 the wind Trees Pillow

First to recommend

Description

Jenny Sauer and her three sheets 2 the wind collection will have to make their way into my home fairly soon. I bit the bullet this weekend and purchased a new sofa and now I need some new pillows to adorn the caramel leather. I have difficulty finding just the right pillow amid the vast sea of options because 1.) I have to please my guy with something that doesn’t scream “a girl lives here!” and 2.) I want something that is girly. Jenny Sauer’s touch to her handmade pieces lends a feminine delicate characteristic while the subject matter is simple and subtle. I am thinking I may go for the Trees Pillow or possibly the Fat Trees and Dandelion Pillow. Guys like trees…right? (via design public)

Lights Up! Meridian Jumbo Pendant Lamps

First to recommend

Description

If I were to have a “jumbo” lamp of any kind the new Lights Up! Meridian Jumbo Pendant Lamp would most certainly be a front runner. This big guy is a whopping 30 inches in diameter. I try to imaging how big the lamp is and I surmise it to be about three of my arms (from elbow to knuckles). This really is a large lamp! Unfortunately, my apartment is about 8 of my arms wide (from elbow to knuckles) so the lamp might take up more room than I can afford to spare. Boy, I can’t wait for the day when I have more square arm space. (via design public)

Graham & Brown LLB Mystique Wallpaper

First to recommend

Description

Need some design inspiration? I would highly recommend checking out the in room situation shots of all the Graham and Brown wall papers. Amazing what they have done! I could spend hours looking and thinking about all the possibilities, color combinations, but I have a job to do… (via design public)

Tobias Wong Light Switch - Gold (Limited Edition)

First to recommend

Description

Tobias Wong, what would modernists do without you? Consider this situation: you are nestled in bed after reading Harry Potter for 8 hours and your eyes start to get heavy. It is a good 70+ degrees in bed but a balmy -20 outside the covers. You would love to drift off, but you don’t have a bedside lamp so you have to get up to turn the lights off. Brrrrr, one of the worst moments in your life. Your home and your dignity are too modern for a Clapper, but a chrome or gold light switch encased in a lucite box would solve the problem in no time. Plus, you feel all James Bond-chic while turning your light off. So smart, Tobias Wong, so smart. (via design public)

Hybrid-Home Limited Edition Print Bike Love

First to recommend

Description

Our friends at Hybrid-Home graciously sent us one of their new Limited Edition Bike Love Prints. A very attractive scarlet red, I must say!

I know there are already a number of bike lovers out there, but recently we discussed how to create the next generation of bike aficionados…start from birth! We envision a new type of nursery with a completely different angle, moving away from the pastels and cute animals. Imagine the Oeuf Sparrow Crib in gray, a couple Erich Ginder Ghost Antler Coat Racks on the wall (away from baby’s reach, of course!), maybe a Patrick Townsend Orbit Chandelier if space permits, and of course a nicely framed Hybrid-Home Bike Love Print as a major focal point. Just imagine how influential a room like this could be on a child! (via design public)

Jonas Damon Numbers Clock in Blue

First to recommend

2 people recommended this item

Description

Jonas Damon has the aesthetics of time down to a tee with his Numbers Clocks. How often do you see a clock broken down into its four main components, the numbers? Not often enough, I do believe! The simplicity is refreshing, the colors are bold (new blue and amber colorways) and the interactive design is just brilliant. (via design public)

notNeutral City Plates

First to recommend

Description

The new notNeutral City Plates are an ideal way to bring the outside urban world inside…all the way to the kitchen table. I have been spending quite a bit of time in tropical lands lately and although I do appreciate sitting on the beach and soaking up the life of leisure, I always crave coming back to the stimulation of city living. If only they had San Francisco plates…then I could study the streets while eating my dinner and I wouldn't get lost all the time. Ha! (via Design Public)

Hybrid-Home Limited Edition Large Print Visible Ghost

First to recommend

Description

Hybrid-Home is big and glowing. No, they are not pregnant (I don’t think, anyway). Rather, their limited edition Visible Ghost and Visible Robot posters are in a larger size and glow in the dark.

I can’t get enough of the quirky yet hip details Brian Flynn puts into his designs. I certainly wish I had bat kidneys and a fishbowl bladder. Or, maybe I do… (via Design Public)
