This is a RARE METEORITE found in 1576 in Gran Chaco, Gualamba, Chaco ARGENTINA.
This meteorite was made into a rare pendant necklace and stung with Black Jade accented by Hematite and Black Onyx beads, sterling silver spacer beads and clasp. This necklace is 20" inches long.
The mineral composition of the meteorite is:
Type - Iron
Octahedrite, coarse (3.0mm) with silicate inclusion (IA)
Analysis of metal 6.62% Ni.,
90. Oppm. Ga., 392 ppm. Ge., 3.2ppm Ir.
A mass of 18 tons was found at a depth of 5 meters in crator 10.
