you HAVE to love a cookbook that insults you. anthony bourdain is such a sarcastic wonderful chef, and if you've read his other books you know what you're in for with this tome. he calls pearl onions "little f*ckers"... i LOVE that! and yes, wonderful bistro recipes.

This book, a legend in itself has saved my butt and tought me so much. The first two cookbooks i received were this, and a rustic and well worn copy of Betty Crocker. I still have both and cherish them equally.
