Description
i tend to use Moleskin journals and some others, a few, that i have only been able to find in Paris, but voila! here they are! and you can make some to your specs. What could be better than that for the journalist or diarist (call yourself what you will). Excellent for writers, poets, artists, photographers, creatives of all type.... (via transient books)

usually i don't like sites like Flickr etc, but i stumbled upon this cool thing that you can create "calling cards" really - like they used to have (very dignified) and use them with an image of your choosing and they will make them for a reasonable price, about $20 bucks. Not bad... nifty! (via moo.com)

I'm a writer and an illustrator, working now on my third book, this one about Lewis Carroll and when I meet with my illustrator partner I want something that we can easily incorporate text and type at the same time and write out storyboards and the like so that we have a real sense of what the finished book will look like page by page... this is an excellent tool for this and the perfect shape and size... We've been using Moleskin's as well - also excellent.... For any artist of any kind, poet, writer, illustrator, painter, even for a designer etc. this is an excellent daily work book and sexier than others too.

Moleskine City Notebook New York

Description
i go to nyc once a month sometimes more, and this gives you a great deal of ready-made information but also allows you to create your own directories and guides and address book, along with a generous space for notes and writings, so you in short, are the co-editor and co-writer of a guide book tailored specifically for and to you... this is REALLY useful if you travel to the major cities and for New York especially, i finally got this (thinking stupidly I did not need it at first... duh) and realizing that actually, this is a super thing and you can do so much with it... check it out..... all moleskine products are superior to almost anyother notebooks you can find....

Okay, it's not all about having "nice" stationery for your wedding day. Alas, the days of having proper calling cards (i don't count business cards as calling cards), seem to have gone out of "fashion", but as we know, fashion and trends are quite (emphasis) different from style (emphasis). As a freelance writer and author, it is difficult to know what my "card" should say or have. To this end, I had some printed with simply my name and the word "writer" and a contact phone number and email. Not address, etc. The name is on the front, the other information on the back and a small decorative detail from the type Perpetua. - if you're going to do this, go letterpress. Go with a heavy paperstock, off white - natural or ivory (Monadnock makes a beautiful stock), but something older - I have a friend who has one that reads, "The Former Mrs. ___" I may change mine to say "The Future Ex-Wife of _____" All joking aside, calling cards are a wonderful way to leave personal notes etc and you can have them sized to your preference. Just one woman's opinion.
