NYC Organic Spray-On Tan

First to recommend

Description

I’ve tried UV-less spray tanning, it left a terrible smell on my skin and I swore never again. That was before experiencing Organic Spray Tan at Smooth Synergy, a cosmedic spa run by Nicole Contos in tandem with her husband’s medical practice. The spa is known for the Fanny Facial and they’re one of the few in NYC to offer organic bronzing.

The solution, containing absolutely no potentially harmful chemicals or preservatives, is even safe to drink. Not that one would, but the knowledge is reassuring. The initial intense bronze washed off in the first shower (wait 12 hours). What remained was a beautiful, natural tan that lasted 5-7 days with proper care. (via SheFindsElizabeth)

Dangle It

First to recommend

Description

Figuring out what to do with my handbag when I go out to eat makes deciding between Chinese and Italian seem easy. The grungy floor is no place for my favorite Coach, but if I hang it from my knee, it always slips. And someone is sure to bump it off the back of my chair. But my discovery of the Dangle has put an end to my floor fears. Belinda Leung created her company, which sells the nifty handbag holder, after coveting her grandma’s vintage one from Hong Kong. It comes in three finishes, (brushed nickel, polished chrome and glitzy gold) and its own carrying satchel. The dainty looking hook is just 4 inches long and weighs less than three ounces, but holds 85 pounds! You decide if it’s forehead slapping ”Why didn’t I think of that?” or innovation reserved for those ladies who lunch. (via SheFindsSuzelle)

Nyakio Body Scrub, Kenyan Coffee & Sugar

Description

Just when I thought my coffee obsession—four dollar lattes, purchased daily—could go no further, I stumbled across Nyakio’s Kenyan coffee and sugar body scrub. If you come from the school of sensitive skin that gets overworked by the myriad of salt scrubs flooding the market, this product is for you. It doesn’t irritate the skin, has a wonderfully gooey consistency (great for your body, less great for shower cleanup) and smells like sugary coffee syrup. The packaging, a giant clear tub with a sleek label, is as pleasing as the contents within, and is a perfect addition to any bathroom shelf. My coffee budget must be increased.... (via SheFinds)

SweetSpot Labs Balancing Mist, Basil Grapefruit

First to recommend

Description

I thought I’d seen it all when I received a press release with this opener: “Do you wash your hair with toothpaste? Brush your teeth with shampoo? Moisturize your face with mouthwash? Of course not! But you use WHAT? On your WHERE? Unlike most soaps, SweetSpot Labs products are pH balanced for optimum “sweet spot health”. Each aromatic mixture was deliberately selected for scents which both enhance and complement a woman, while contributing a cleansing, calming and refreshing function. You can even get Hormone Harmony, No. 24 a basil/pink grapefruit blend specifically formulated for menstrual cycles.”

[editor’s note: Gals—I just report the information. What you do with it is entirely your business!] (via SheFinds)
