Limited Edition Black Treasure Clock

First to recommend

Description

At first I couldn't figure out if it was a haunted house clock or what... A closer look revealed cool little objects, mostly vintage toys. It reminds me of the waste time capsule display I saw in a magazine recently. It's kinda happy and kinda sad at the same time. Does that make sense to you?

Verbarius Electronic Clock

10 people recommended this item

Description

The Verbarius clock answers the question “What time is it?” writing a different reply every time it’s asked: it’s either forty-five minutes past four, or fifteen minutes to five, or four forty-five, or a quarter to five. I can't believe someone didn't think of this before. (via Speech Graphics)

Description

I've always liked the metaphors associated with sand timers. "Time is Money" is a good one. But my favorite is its reference in the dialog between Ted and Socrates in Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, "We are nothing but sand in the wind, Dude."

Assorted Clock Brunch Plates

Description

I've been fascinated with all the cool clocks that have been coming out this past year... This one caught me off guard. It's almost like as if it's making fun of the situation. I think they're adorable. Definitely conversation starters.

This could be a deadly ninja star or a symbolism of the sun. I kinda like the extreme interpretation options. This clock makes me think of spring and summer.

modernist's cuckoo clock

First to recommend

Description

This is a cuckoo clock I would have in my house. Traditional item in modern style. IO find the minimalist black housing humorous. It's one of those items that salutes, and at the same time, pokes fun of the original thing. Like it.

luna clock

Description

It's supposed to be a red moon with craters and all. I don't know about this red moon business... I saw a top down view of a mushroom - the kind you see in a smurf town. I think it's kinda cool looking.

Gear Flip Alarm Clock

2 people recommended this item

Description

Very robotic looking, isn't it? I like the retro aspect, though I do wonder how much noise the number flippy things make when it chnges time. I tested a similar clock once, and every minute, you hear this "kachuk". Pretty loud. Curious about this one. (via dwilliams)

Clocky!

47 people recommended this item

Description

If you’re favorite song is “Oh, How I Hate to Get Up in the Morning,” then make room on your night table for Clocky. Clocky gives you ONE chance to get up. If you choose to snooze, believe it or not, Clocky will jump right off your night table (up to 3 feet) and wheel around your bedroom looking for a place -- far away from your bed -- to hide, beeping all the while, before sounding his alarm again. And, yes, you WILL have to get out of bed to silence his alarm. The snooze time can be set from 0-9 minutes, so if you set it at "0" Clocky immediately "runs" away. If you want Clocky to be just like every other alarm clock on the block, and stay put on your night table, simply disable his wheels. Moves on wood or carpet.

NOW Watch

First to recommend

6 people recommended this item

Description

It's a watch. No it's a cuff. No it's a statment. Really, it's all three and I like it. I guess you could say this is a ThisNext exclusive since no one has heard of the NOW watch, yet.

Morgan, the designer, wears it very well but I was a touch skeptical as to how it would look on a female arm so we put it on Fashion Kitty. The response was, and I quote, "Bomb Ass."

I agree.

As David Lynch often says "The world is as you are," and as someone who is constantly on the go and always looking ahead at what's coming it's an excellent reminder to stop myself and be present.

Rumor has it other styles will be offered but for NOW, pick up one of these. We all know someone who could benefit from the message.
