About this list:

There are few things I won't try. Having an adventurous palette can introduce you to a world of culinary delights. My general rule is I won't go out to eat what I can make at home. This makes dining out (when I can) more special and less frivolous. Here's a list of foods that AREN'T stocked in my fridge. They're foods and restaurants that I love or am interested in trying.

Chinese Tea Eggs

First to recommend

Description

If you like hard boiled eggs, tea and spices then you'll love tea eggs. I get them every now and then from the Chinese bakery in my neighborhood. A cheap and savory snack.

Hae-Mul Pa-jeon - Korean Seafood Pancakes

First to recommend

Description

This was a diet staple when I lived in Seoul. This thin pancake is filled with squid, shrimp and scallions and usually served with a tasty sweet and vinegar soy dipping sauce. I've never been to a Korean restaurant that doesn't have it.

Kimchi

First to recommend

Description

I love kimchi! My old college roommates use to hate me for eating. Its spicy fermented cabbage that's been aged to perfection. Honesty, it smells no worse than broccoli. It's good with just about anything: eggs, rice, pizza, fried chicken. And I've found that the well aged tangy kimchee makes me feel better when I'm nauseous or hung over. Yum yum!

Someone just introduced me to these classic natural treats last year. I love them! Especially since I had a cold at the time. You simply snap off one end with your teeth and casually suck out the honey. Or drizzle it on a muffin. Delicious. Made from pure Grade A honey. Available in boxes of 100 in 5 flavors (Clover, Orange, Cinnammon, Lemon and Cherry) (via Lehman's)
