Superhero Barack Obama Bobblehead
First to recommend
3 people recommended this item
Description
This Superhero Barack Obama Bobblehead works so well for both sides. For the left, it's an accessible, fun way to honor the man who's going to come in and save the day. For the right, it's a comical parody of politics from a nodding little guy in a costume who clings to empty rhetoric: "Yes, we can!" Indecision 2008.

Obama Chocolates (Oh, and Oprah)

This is amazing, and not just for someone like myself who has often considered the ramifications of O as Obama's running mate.

Mac x Barack Obama Print

Description
We've all seen the Obama prints by Shepard Fairey and while some may question the originality of his work, one cannot deny the impact and trendsetting nature of his work on the Obama `08 campaign.
Commissioned by the SF collective, Upper Playground, this Mac print is unique in it's henna tattoo style and still remains affordable, even though they were limited and signed. I am hoping for a restock soon.

The Obama Action Figure
13 people recommended this item
Description
I guess you're truly ready to be president of the United States when your constituency takes you serious enough to create a 6" action figure out of you. At least they got the ears right. (What? I'll be voting for him.) I also like how he's pointing that finger. It's probably pointed toward God or truth or something, but I like to think he's calling out the bad guys.

Democrat Nesting Dolls

3 people recommended this item
Description
Sure, there are more substantial ways to position Barack Obama within a partisan presidential tradition, but whatever. I like the way this set suggests (perhaps unwittingly) that Obama is informed by those who came before him, including Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter, Lyndon Johnson, and JFK. This would have been a little more awesome during the cold war, but there you are.

Mear One X Obama Poster

2 people recommended this item
Description
Another in an ongoing series of Barack Obama prints from Upper Playground, this piece by Mear One is created in a limited edition of 50 pieces. Informed by the artist's background in graffiti, the print also speaks to the dreamy quality of the kind of change Obama presents to his fans. You can almost hear the right clucking tongues at slightly fantastic tone of this one.
